And the factory assist option should just be an option. Like when you go to the Assists page there's a flag where you can hit Y (is that taken on that screen?) to toggle factory/standard options. Switching to factory grays out or limits choices to only appropriate items. If you load a car that disagrees with your default difficulty settings, it just has to bring up that screen before the race and let you choose (change your settings or hit Y to return to your default). Although, if you take a factory car and add an aftermarket brakes kit, that should unlock the ABS option. etc. I know that's some extra development headroom, but compared to everything else, it's quick and it's a good "car-lovers" feature. If they're just laser scanning all their cars then they wouldn't really be able to do that with the atom, so if that's the case it makes sense.

Man, I cannot break loving 1:48 in the Zonda, reading about you guys getting into the 30s is bumming me out.  However, turning off the racing line made me soooo much better it's insane. Plus it feels cool as hell to play with every assist off. Especially when you play a bit, then have someone else give it a go and watch them spin the gently caress out all the time.

Suspension components would be pretty resource-intensive if they wanted to model them properly to fit with the rest of the game, and given that they've already had to make some pretty significant compromises in Forza 4 (i.e. no night racing) to make the game run smooth and look good, it just doesn't seem like they could pull it off. Remember, the 360 is very old by console standards, and I'm sure that Forza 4 is already pushing the old bastard to it's limits. Forza 5 on the Xbox 720 will (hopefully) not run into these limitations.

I don't think so - just to get you to race right away, I guess... Right after that race, I fixed the controls. I'm installing disc 2 now, and then I'll try to download the car packs. I picked the Ford Ka for my first car.

Got a text today saying that my LCE is ready to be picked up tomorrow! Even better, I don't have work or anything going on for a few days! I was going to join the LFA train but it dawned on me that there's way too many cars for me to drive already so it won't be a big deal to go without it unless there comes a time that I just want to buy it or get it as a reward. e: shittttt, 16 person races are going to be insane tomorrow

Literally going to be at my Gamestop in the AM to buy a regular copy since Frys is taking their sweet time on telling me when their shipment of LCE's come in.
