I wish. She paid for it for like 4 years in advance. I managed to get it working by installing it in a VM though, so all is well (kinda, it still blocks downloading .nzb files).

Sickbeard. Can it post process to a UNC path, as long as I run sickbeard.py as a user account that has the appropriate permissions to said path?

Edit: Found a workable solution, just use mklink to create a symlink on the local drive to the share you need. I'll have to do more testing vis a vis permissions but I think that will work.

I always just mapped the network drive to a letter and it worked fine. Had to do that to get Sickbeard to properly access the pool on WHS.

The article/articles in question have been removed from our servers to fulfill a DMCA take down request.

For more information regarding DMCA, please see our 'Terms & Conditions' on our website.

I'm expecting this to spread to many more articles as well.

EDIT:

Guess this is old news. Anyone got recommendations for replacements? Non-block preferably.

I use super news and block news in the past year I've used 50gb of my block account and I don't think I've had a single incomplete. I would imagine you will get incomplete's with any of the major providers.

Like you say, this is very old news and this is the solution:

Everyone worth using does this. Just use Supernews and spend a few bucks on a Blocknews account to fill in the missing articles.

What's your problem with using a block account to fill?

I have no idea why I didn't think of this, but it works like a charm! :tipshat:

My sabnzbd/sickbeard/couchpotato/torrent machine is now completely virtualized, segregated into a DMZ for firewall rules, and dumping to the file server as it should. The only thing the file server is actually doing is serving files and acting as an iscsi target for vmware backups.

The problem is that nearly entire multi-gigabyte articles are being taken down, rather than just 10-20% of them or whatever. So overall you end up using your backup block account as much as you use your primary unlimited account. Which is, I dunno, half as economical.

And that's assuming it wasn't taken down from the block account provider as well.

Oh really? I haven't run into that.

Actually, now that I think about it, I may have run into it and just haven't noticed because it was filled from my blocknews account.

I buy something like the 10GB block account 3 or 4 times a year...

I don't recall ever running into a file that I couldn't get in full (unless it was just out of retention).

You cannot upload NZBs directory to that website or any other website running newznab. The software reads headers posted to Usenet and uses regex to categorize them into releases. It is a completely automated process.

As to your problem, the site should be up to date shortly.

I may have a long time ago. SAB Sheep does everything I need it to do though. It's very handy and very nice.

Looking at the market page for NZB Air, it seems to support more sites, though I can't say how well. On the other hand, while SAB Sheep doesn't fluidly incorporate comments from NZBMatrix, it pops up the comments page in an in-app browser window whereas NZB Air seems to leave them out altogether.

Sheep is cheap and NZB Air has a free version, so try them both out and see what you like more.

One place where this didn't work for me: I wanted to run Sickbeard/SAB out of Task Scheduler. That apparently creates its own instance of a Windows shell without your drive mappings (which are tracked by your explorer.exe).

Ask me about being too much of a sperging idiot to understand what resisting arrest means.
I don't know what happened but as soon as I updated from 6.2 to 6.10 SABnzbd stopped being able to connect to my NAS.

Now, when I try to set the complete folder to either the UNC path, a mounted drive connected to the NAS, or a symbolic link to the NAS, I get: "Cannot create complete_dir folder Y:\Video". Y:\ is the mounted drive letter, works fine in Explorer, can create anything and everything in there with Explorer. Running SAB as administrator did nothing. Neither did reinstalling 6.2. Neither did rebooting.

This is all I get from the log:

pre:
2011-12-07 21:07:18,770::INFO::[misc:331] complete_dir directory: Y:\Video does not exist, try to create it

2011-12-07 21:07:18,770::ERROR::[misc:333] Cannot create directory Y:\Video
Any ideas?

Edit: Uninstalling SAB, removing all settings, and reinstalling also did nothing.

Edit2: Neither did installing 6.12.

Edit3: I hate multiple edits but more information is better. Safe mode worked. What the hell is going on?

Unless your computer is ancient, it shouldn't affect anything on a measurable level. I'm running Sickbeard and SABnzbd on an HP Microserver N36L and it maxes out my internet connection of I allow it (50 SSL connections, 3MB/sec download speed).
