No, it's a promo video for the game The Genji and the Heike Clans which was the challenge in episode 85. The end of the video featured a lot of in game footage. The episode does feature a lot of giant monsters and a lot of running, though.

The preview video is an interesting curiosity. Reminds me of a similar short animation made for promoting Valis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TE_g94Jp7g Thanks for subbing and distributing it, stuff like that is often lost/forgotten to time. Also, the music takes me back to playing Namco X Capcom, as it would play every time a scene focused on characters from that game (which was fairly often).

Heh... in the Tamage segment the announcer said that Arino and Nakayama were playing Super Street Fighter II. But it was actually the upgrade that came after that - Super Street Fighter IIX (aka Super Street Fighter II Turbo everywhere else in the world). Regular SSF2 didn't have the super combos, faster speed, or brutal AI (which forced Nakayama to start continuing). Not a big deal but you'd think they'd get little details like these down when they're showcasing games... (also the subtitles typoed it as "Figher" both times... but whatevs, I know there was a lot of text to go through in that episode anyway)

Great train episode. Even with the (great) PSX graphics I could still make out familiar parts of the Yamanote line. Random Stranger, you didn't miss a thing on the Chuo line. It's stopped for a "human related accident" more than the Yamanote. My commute would start in Saitama-ken and after the keihin-touhoku line I would have to take BOTH the Yamanote and Chuo. Almost two hours to get to work gently caress yeah. The episode was drat great and way more entertaining than I bargained for. Zari Gani is just the coolest. Also Random Stranger and Gutcruncher, can't thank you guys enough! Nitpick - persistent HUD typo "Scheduled Arriva" This year (lol) I do plan on the initial timing/checking of the Star Fox VC Special and translating the Puyo Puyo ep. I still have the French to English script from Refreshing Beer Drinking Avatar Guy, with some untranslated parts. Who knows I just might finish the Puyo Puyo episode by the end of Summer. Stefan Prodan posted:Wait, vanilla Super SF 2 didn't have Super combos? You had SF2:World warriors. Were combos were a glitch too and there was no counter for them. Then Champion Edition adding the boss characters. Hyper Fighting readjusted speed, balance and movesets. Super Street Fighter 2 added 4 new characters and updating graphics, hud, animation etc, plus things like Combo Counter. And Finally, Super Turbo after that. Which introduced Super combos. All these within 3 years and a half. Then you had Hyper Street Fighter 2 (Anthology, allowing to choose between all 5 versions of characters in the game) And Finally, you have HD remix with the new HD sprites and Sirlin's 'rebalance'. All in all, 7 revisions over 20 years. Not counting unique changes for ports like the GBA one.

The comments don't seem to know if it's supposed to end like that either, so no clue. I'm pretty sure that Sunsoft now owns everything Telenet made, it'd be nice if they'd package the games together and sell it on a disc or something. Or maybe make a new one on XBLA etc, preferably one that pretends it's still the 90s and has all the old anime design intact. There was somewhat recent cellphone game that looked kind of nice...whoa, when the hell did this happen? "Mugen Senshi Valis Complete Plus - Legend Of A Fantasm Soldier: 2011 (24.11): PC CD ROM Windows (98/XP compatible Vista & 7)" Wow, I need to look into this!

Well, according to Wikipedia Valis X Valis X (Valis Cross) was a hentai attempt to resurrect the series. There are five Valis X titles that retell the stories of the first four games containing copious amounts of lesbian acts and tentacle sex. The game was developed by Eants but was published by Telenet Japan. This was also the last game published by Telenet Japan. The game was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series however, the game was poorly received by critics and fans of the series. So, yeah... (really liked Super Valis IV on SNES)
