front wing flexing posted:Maybe he didn't finish his project yet and he's just putting around town not riding heavy? That doesn't really fly, as there's usually a Y in the brake line to connect the master cylinder to the two front calipers. To only connect the one, he'd have to go out of his way and get a different single longer line to connect just the left caliper to the MC. Which leans strongly in the direction of "pretentious and also dumb."

Gnaghi posted:Isn't it hidden there behind the fork? Yeah on the left side. he's in the process of a dual disc conversion and didn't get a speedo drive adapter made. Then probably realized that you can't fit a second caliper on there without it... I have one I still haven't used. You should leave him a note with my email and I'll send him some tips on how to do the dual disc conversion. It's more complicated than just getting longer bolts Boat posted:That doesn't really fly, as there's usually a Y in the brake line to connect the master cylinder to the two front calipers. He probably just removed the speedo drive and bolted up a disc which is also pretentious and dumb. He's going to have to get new custom lines if he wants to run a K-caliper on the left. He's also going to have to figure out how to mount it backwards.

Moto Guzzi Ipothesys Supposedly a modern day café. I kinda like it, except for the long swingarm (reminiscent of terrible "mods")

My mother just sent me an email with the image of the three Italian racers (Dovi, Biaggi, Rossi) followed by the cruise ship leanin' hard. ONLY ITALIANS CAN DO THIS! I would post it, but I'm lazy and can't find it on GIS. And we've all seen it. Thanks mom

You can just make out a bit of deflection of the back wheel right before it launches, and I'm not sure if he turned the bars, grabbed a huge handful of brake or some combination of the two. Either way he's exceedingly lucky the bike didn't land on some part of his anatomy.

That other one is pretty impressive though, I'll throw my money on "front tire burst". There's a little puff of light colored...something just as the front tire leaves the ground. Pretty sure someone asked for a picture of my camping set up. This is how I camp, I'm only going overnight Friday to Saturday to get in a bit of offroading before the rains come Saturday afternoon. The bag straps to my passenger peg "wings" and a bungie cord secures it through 2 eyelets to the tail section.

I finally caught up on all 10k+ pages! I've decided to make my motorcycle dream a reality this year and get my Connecticut motorcycle license (and wow with the CT hate! It's not all that bad we have . . . uh beautiful fall foliage!). So obviously the best way for me to become an instant expert on my new chosen I have learned valuable things in that time though. Such as ATGATT, how my love of sidecars is justified, and how 'tis better to ride a scooter than a trike! Shamefully I started getting interested in motorcycles due to a buddy getting a farm fresh Honda CB of some kind from a dude who had a barn full of cafe racer mods in various stages of completion. Ever since then I've loved the cafe racer style, so I guess that makes me a hipster? Anyway content: I don't know why, but there's dozens of helmets out there like this: The ONLY bike in CT I've seen that's not a chromed out loudmouth, or a 250 covered in faux fur: Concept art behind the cool Hydra bikes in the new Captain America Hell yeah! Also a cool indoors trial vid if you're looking to kill 20 minutes. The camera work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9smPKAyvI70 EDIT: Tables

As long as you ride your bike to places other than Starbucks for your latte you're pretty safe from the hipster crowd. In CT if you ride in the rain one day they may name it a holiday and give you the day off...

That doesn't look stretched to me at all, look how close the tire is to the part of the swingarm that crosses over the back behind the shock. It's just got a big fat gap between the wheel and the subframe like one of those Duc Gt1000s is all.

In CT if you ride in the rain one day they may name it a holiday and give you the day off... I really wanna commute so I guess I'm in the clear. I bicycle it up when work is only 10 miles away, but I can't take my Bianchi on a highway. As for CT stereotypes it's sad but true. Once, after lurking CA, I drove home and decided to play "count the bikers." On my 30 minute highway commute there were sixteen. Fourteen were on chromed out cruisers with NO safety gear (read: short sleeve 'mechanic/union' emblazoned shirts with work boots and sun glasses), there was one cruiser rider with a half helmet, and one sport biker with a full face helmet, a thermal, and jeans. What are your thoughts on "cafe" style Guzzis?
