So is there a way for Mystic Knights to get magic for their sword skills because I'd like to do awesome things like swing swords and make shockwaves. :downs:

I think this game is anime enough to warrant it.

I just met the Dragonforged for the first time and man, the trip was lengthy. I guess walking everywhere is the main travel method or does it get easier later? Like say, a horse?

I saw in the stream that someone put Gyoru's Tyrion in a dress and he was still wearing it when he was sent back. How do make sure things like that happen? Because that looks like fun.

You can walk west from the encampment through bandit hordes and saurians and a chimera if you are unlucky, or go through the ancient quarry and fight ogres. Both are pretty rough but the quarry is much shorter.

Two routes.

Easy Route: Go through the Quarry. Of course it is also a hard route if you haven't cleared it yet.

Hard/Long Route: Walk down to Witchwood and follow the mountains north. If you find the Quarry exit and the Rest Stop, you are in the right direction, just keep following the mountains and do not go straight across from the rest stop to the Fort. You'll regret it.

Yeah so apparently my first quest from Gran Soren (at like level 12) I decided to do an escort quest from Gran Soren to the Greatwall Encampment.

2 and a half hours later and a lot of reloads and I have DONE IT! It was a terrible idea but man was it fun. Also involved a lot of running (mostly because of the dude standing in front of bad guys).

Speaking of this what should I do with all this rotten food I have now? Can I eventually get something that can transmute it into something awesome, or should I just throw it out?

edit: I was worried that ferrystones would be really expensive but 10k is really not very much money in this game. I've already stocked up on like six of them.

^^^^ Yeah, rotten stuff can be successfully combined.

For starters, try adding water to rotten fruit after you put the fruit into a flask.

-Blackadder- posted:

Have you guys been doing any combining of items? And if so what are you finding are good combinations to make?

I've done it randomly here and there but for the most part I've just been throwing a lot of into storage since I don't really feel like dealing with it at that exact moment. There seems to be so many different combinations it's overwhelming.

Sadly none of which I have come across. It also mentions to unrotten food you need to make it kept and then use Spring Water? Where can I find Spring Water? I figured a flask of water may work but it doesn't.

EDIT: So when someone alters your pawns gear, and it gives you a choice, if you say yes do you get back the old gear also?

How do you do actual damage to the sword and shield bandits? As a Sorcerer I hit him with my heaviest spells and it does like 5 damage but he hits me for shitload.

Every bandit encounter with those guys turns into a loving fight for my life even though his buddies are getting one-shotted. What's the secret? I dodge out of the way of his powerful strikes, hit him from behind yet I do nothing for damage.

I started Strider, went to Assassin, maxed it out, and I'm now back maxing out Strider before eventually going to Ranger. For the most part, I've been playing very much like an archer.

Between Threefold Shot and Lycenean Sight, mobs tend to just die. I miss not having Lycenean with the Strider sadly but Threefold works well enough so there is my tip.

So, having just gotten backfire, anyone know if there is a way to put it out? Does re-inputting the command cancel it? I would try but my first test of the skill was in the Inn's lobby, turning the innkeeper into an unwilling human torch impersonator and sending me to jail.

I loving love this game.

I was disappointed with Ranger at first, but then I decided it's not too bad. I miss a lot of the Strider skills I had, especially Cloudburst Volley, but that was before I got some of the good Ranger skills. Tenfold Flurry and Ten-Tail shot are awesome and just annihilate even tough enemies and don't cost too much stamina, and Invasive Arrow sounds like it might be cool too.

I'll probably end up going back to Strider anyway because I miss Master Thief and Implicate.

I had that escort and got similarly frustrated by getting trashed by another high hp bandit leader dude. I got upset enough that I picked up the escort and threw him down the hill to the bandit camp and walked away. Never looked back.

Man, I was all set to make a female strider pawn, but reading that there's an overabundance of them is making me change my mind. :( In any case, how viable is it to have two in one group if one is focused on melee going on to Assassin and the other on ranged going on to Ranger? I hear they have low survivability, but I wonder if that can't be mitigated with a good healer.
