Twice today I beat my WR/PB by one second. 16:47 earlier this week, then 16:46 followed by a 16:45 soon after.

When I finally manage to get a deathless run it's probably going to be sub-16.

Just to remind everyone else, dont forget that today there will be The Sunday Sequence Break later today at 7PM Eastern Time, They will be covering Super Meat Boy and Breakdown and (I think) Exo will be on to discuss the game.

If any of you haven't seen it, the hosts will go over new Speed Run Records, talk about upcoming events, and then go in-depth on the game of the week. Super Meat Boy is one of my favorite games to watch run and I'm sure it will be a blast.

I haven't heard of the feature before, but it turns out Youtube has tools to fix videos it considers shaky. When PJ uploaded his Mohawk & Headphone Jack speedrun using warps, Youtube recommended it's "fix" for shaky videos like so.

The result... maybe fixed a bit too much :stonk:

It seems like Sig definitely isn't doing 12 hours a day anymore. Anyone know what is up with that? My guess is just that he got really depressed and sick of the game and went out to get a job.

What? He's been streaming every single day for (at least) several hours. Probably not 12. He doesn't work/have school etc.

Took me a couple hundred attempts and a lot of route experimentation to beat Veysey's time, finally got it while watching TSSB. These strats just become muscle memory after a while so I really hope by January I can make the whole game look about this good in one attempt.

It's like how they would have cut a commercial for this game in the 90s.

The camera's close up on the TV shaking like a lunatic while the announcer's like "Mohawk and Headphone Jack will take you to the next level" and then the TV explodes

A lot of the major stream chatrooms are insufferable as it is but this seems particularly nasty.

Shame to see a choke like that in BitS, though. :(

edit: They're spamming hearts in the chatroom so maybe I spoke too soon?

Never try to understand stream monsters. Any little mistake and the chat gets flooded with "RESET!" and then 10 seconds later everyone's talking about how "this is the run/urn"

Some Ninja Gaiden 1 NES racing will be going down at 1pm EDT today (in 30 minutes), featuring some of the best players of the game:

Sinister1 (PB 12:35)
Arctic_Eagle (PB 12:44)
dxtr (PB 12:55)

First to 3 wins.

Sinister1 has the world records for the sword-only and pacifist categories, and I think Arctic_Eagle has had NG runs up on SDA before. Arctic_Eagle and dxtr raced this live at ESA a few weeks ago, with Sinister1 participating in his stream as well.

Anyways, hype get. Ninja Gaiden is a blast to play/watch and ought to be represented more in speedrun streams. These guys destroy this game so I'm sure it'll be sweet.

Edit: They're starting. http://speedrunslive.com/race/?id=g3cbb
