iastudent posted:Our own Uranium Anchor doing Ninja Gaiden 3 (NES) low% runs. No pickups, one windmill star per stage. Twice today I beat my WR/PB by one second. 16:47 earlier this week, then 16:46 followed by a 16:45 soon after. When I finally manage to get a deathless run it's probably going to be sub-16.

If any of you haven't seen it, the hosts will go over new Speed Run Records, talk about upcoming events, and then go in-depth on the game of the week. Super Meat Boy is one of my favorite games to watch run and I'm sure it will be a blast.

I haven't heard of the feature before, but it turns out Youtube has tools to fix videos it considers shaky. When PJ uploaded his Mohawk & Headphone Jack speedrun using warps, Youtube recommended it's "fix" for shaky videos like so. The result... maybe fixed a bit too much https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6iogZ60l3k

It seems like Sig definitely isn't doing 12 hours a day anymore. Anyone know what is up with that? My guess is just that he got really depressed and sick of the game and went out to get a job.

He doesn't work/have school etc.

2/52 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILDdOQ22UC8 Took me a couple hundred attempts and a lot of route experimentation to beat Veysey's time, finally got it while watching TSSB. These strats just become muscle memory after a while so I really hope by January I can make the whole game look about this good in one attempt.

AV Club's Gameological Society published a story about Siglemic today. It's cool to see this stuff getting some mainstream coverage, but unfortunately it doesn't look like the reporter got an interview with him or anything so there's not much to it that we don't already know. http://gameological.com/2012/08/mr-perfect/ Spraynard Kruger fucked around with this message at 14:57 on Aug 29, 2012 |

Some Ninja Gaiden 1 NES racing will be going down at 1pm EDT today (in 30 minutes), featuring some of the best players of the game: Sinister1 (PB 12:35) Arctic_Eagle (PB 12:44) dxtr (PB 12:55) First to 3 wins. Sinister1 has the world records for the sword-only and pacifist categories, and I think Arctic_Eagle has had NG runs up on SDA before. Arctic_Eagle and dxtr raced this live at ESA a few weeks ago, with Sinister1 participating in his stream as well. Anyways, hype get. Ninja Gaiden is a blast to play/watch and ought to be represented more in speedrun streams. These guys destroy this game so I'm sure it'll be sweet.
