A super-easy way to liven up Halo multiplayer was to switch the spoken language to something like Spanish or German. Hearing a gruff-voiced PRIMER GULPE!! always brought lolz to my experience

Probably about as much as it did in Anniversary: some optional voice commands. One of those "Kinect Enabled" things (which generally means some crappy, tacked on functionality that no one will miss if they don't have one), not "Kinect Required."

I asked this a long time ago in the old thread and never got an answer, but has there been any confirmation on whether there will be up to 16-player splitscreen/syslink in Halo 4, like in the previous titles? I'm assuming there will be but I haven't seen it in any of the preview stuff yet. How did they have it set up at PAX?

At PAX I'm pretty sure they had 16 stations setup, but 2 different system link games going, one with 10 stations and the other with 6 (at least when I played). I don't see any reason why they would get rid of 16 player system link.

Not only do I have the limited edition pre-ordered, but I pre-ordered the console, as well. I need a new Xbox with a bigger hard drive. I am officially the world's gayest man. Then I'll be the world's richest man once I sell the extra codes on eBay because people are super dumb and will pay a crap ton of money for anything exclusive.

I almost gave up on the series when ODST didn't have any--between the fact that I was satisfied with the conclusion of 3 and the fact that I was expecting ODST to be like some Heinlein's Starship Troopers poo poo where you get launched like a bullet out of a spaceship right into the middle of a raging battlefield but instead got a lot of wandering around a mostly empty city punctuated by battles identical to the other games except your character was slightly (only slightly) weaker, that game almost killed my interest in Halo, to the point that I didn't even buy Reach until earlier this summer when I started getting pumped for 4. Anyway, what I'm saying is, a few more guys at your back fighting alongside you, with a few more enemies to make up for the imbalance, could be really awesome. I'm interested to see how that turns out.

That actually wasn't a terrible interview. There was one kind of non-answer in there, but for the most part he seemed fairly candid. I actually liked his answer about the changes made to the game, which is rare. "Talk to someone who played it and see what they think" certainly was less "WE MADE CHANGES. YOU WILL LIKE CHANGES." than the recent Halo Bulletin.

The Chief finally learnt how to run. Thank god. To get all I'm hoping it's more like the first book. I would never fire a shot if I could run as fast as a speeding car and just body-slam covenant into broken, bloody husks with a sprinting melee.

So in the new vid-doc they show off a lot about the Knights. I never noticed they had little arms dangling from their chest before. And now I want to know more about these forerunners in these suits. Are they really dead or just kinda kept alive to control the suit. I was under the impression that these are Prometheans, and that they were slaves/guardians/whatever created by the forerunners. Where did this "dead forerunners inside mechanical suits" concept come up?

Welp, thought everyone would like to know about my cool blog-style post. Cool blog-post bro, here's mine. I think I've given up on Inheritor, with the 200K cap it would literally take me two months of grinding everyday to get it, and there's no way I can grind everyday. If 343 would raise the cap to a million, I could do it before Halo 4 comes out, but otherwise I'm just gonna go for 100% armory or whatever it is you can get without Inheritor. And if you're on tonight and not too busy grinding, we should do some matchmaking or anniversary or something fun.

I got a guy on my friends list who's an inheritor. I have no idea how to dig up his page on the new halo website, so you just have to trust me! It involved a whole lot of credit capping over a long period of time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7AmAPJ0dR4This Halo 4 Video posted:Halo 4 has fifty levels. Once you have advanced through the standard fifty levels, you will get the option to enlist in a Specialization. You can choose the order in which you tackle unlocked Specializations. However once you select one, you must advance through it completely before enlisting in a separate Specialization. So I interpret this to mean Halo 4's 1-50 ranking system will be nothing like Halo 3's. If it were then only a very small percentage of the playerbase will ever get to unlock specializations.

Although we have no idea how long it will take to get to 50 in Halo 4 anyway. Specializations are considered "end-game" content, so I'd assume that 343 don't expect anyone to rush through it all super fast, but given all the emblems, armor bits, skins and so forth tied to them, and the large number of them (for LE owners/later release, anyway), it seems like it would be absurd to lock them behind a gate that would take more than a couple of months or so to reach.

I talked to that guy who works at 343 industries about that kinect thing some more. He said they didn't really integrate it, though they played around with it with the waypoint system they use. He said they might do something involving kinect with their next project, but he's kind of annoyed that they don't have any info on the next console so they can start working on Halo 5. Poor bastard barely gets out of there, he's got a chance at sunshine(even in Seattle) if they don't go whole hog into halo 5.
