What I dig is in his first track back, and i mean that as in HIS track, he's coming out and denouncing what he made previously. And how many rappers will say this miss their dad cause he left, w/o sounding like a whiny bitch?

Is it as good as Stapleton? No, Stapleton is bar none my favorite OF track, but this has me anticipating what he has to release.

Also, Earl tweeted that "dem my chords." So maybe him and Tyler or him and FlyLo

Eeeuuugh that's bad, but I'm sure he'll make some money off of white suburban kids for it. Though I'd probably like that track if it was Usher and Rihanna or something

Since some of you are into Memphis throwback stuff (I hope), some dude who is featured on some dope J Green tracks dropped a short tape last night http://www.datpiff.com/Lil-Awree-Never-Sleep-mixtape.413285.html. Only 5 tracks, all some rad d-evil shyt.

Luda is the biggest disappointment. He really made some good club music back when I used to party. He didn't go the crunk route (back when crunk was a thing) and he didn't sound like UGK. All I had back then was people Lil Jon, early TI, Pastor Troy, and some other poo poo I never really liked. But Luda got lazy as hell. I'm surprised he didn't do his fast/slow/fast stuff on this song. And Luda has the gall to act like he is a legend. His first album was the truth and he had a few hits after. But he didn't switch anything up and just faded or started acting. Piss on Luda.

I just pretend Luda stopped rapping a decade ago. Incognegro and Word of Mouf are too good for him to keep putting out lovely music.

His first album was the truth and he had a few hits after that? What? Did anyone in this loving thread even listen to rap music before like 2010? Luda had 3 great albums and one good obe before he started making poo poo like the red light district. He was one of the first big southern guys to break and completely deserves his status.

Red Light District is pretty terrible but up until that point (2004) he was releasing solid albums. I even liked Chicken & Beer for the most part. It is disappointing to see how far he has fallen in 8 years though, Word of Mouf, Incognegro, and Back for the First Time are all pretty stacked. He just had to go the 'business rapper' route and put his name on all these lovely brands. He opened a high end restaurant that quickly failed, he has been in a number of lovely movies, and I think he has his own headphones that are a poorer man's version of the poor man's headphones known as Beats by Dre.

edit: Oh yeah and he has his own cognac.

1.21 Gigawatts wasn't terrible. I just think he does the commercial stuff because doing a track with Bieber will make a hell of a lot more money then doing a track with any rapper.

I thought his albums from Incognegro to Red Light District were great-good but since Release Therapy he lost me completely. He needs to stop selling out and find a way to get motivated to be great.

He just cares about being rich now. There aren't as many sell-outs as obvious as him.

Ive decided to listen to Nineteen Ninety Now by Celph Titled while I wait for my plane to board. A good decision. I forgot how loving good this album is. Buckshots production is all sorts of awesome.

Also the new Sean P is awesome, but it feels kinda like a mixtape to me. Not necessarily a bad thing.

yeah, i really enjoy mic tyson too but can't help but feel it's a little half assed. i kind of prefer 2 verse songs, or just songs that aren't 5 minutes long but it just seems like he only put two verses on songs just to get it done with, not because it's what the song required. stfu p2 or genesis of omega are such good beats, they deserve some more bars over them

I miss Clipse, Pusha is nice solo but We Got it Vol 2

http://youtu.be/V8qfOfZxsUs (find the track on the album, this copy is poo poo)

drat

I really should give Vol 1 another listen, I remember checking out Vol 2 and on and only coming back to Vol 1 later on, and it's a rough comparison for me since Vol 1 is so unpolished.

e- Brings up a good question, anyone wanna challenge Clipse's musical supremacy with a 'who can kill a beat' contest. I like that beat, but the verses are awesome. No obscure beats that wouldn't be on most mixtapes, but I think I sit pretty comfortably saying that whatever beat, Clipse did it better.

if you like it a little more modern i recommend "my ghetto report card"

i pretty much love everything he ever did tho, but those two i think are cool to start
