Torka posted:God this is amazing, I'd love to see it done by an American studio with a large budget. That's what my first thought was watching that first video. That elevator wasn't very big and a lot of people can react to things like that with involuntary body movements. My first thought was that someone was going to sock that kid out of pure shock. Also, I'm pretty sure that those kind of shows wouldn't fly in the US anymore. All of the videos posted went on for quite a while after the people were already pretty visually distressed (The lady in the carpark in particular). Anybody else notice how they were all shot in confined spaces where there's no feeling of being able to flee/escape? They must do pranks very differently in Brazil, because I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be legal in a lot of other countries. To contribute, some classic Karl Pilkington from the Ricky Gervais show. I still listen to their audiobooks daily, and it never gets old. In this clip, Ricky talks about how he somehow wound up with an LAPD SWAT policeman as his private security, Karl tries his hand at being a hostage negotiator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1BCB5HrpLE Favela Flav fucked around with this message at 15:48 on Nov 29, 2012 |

Actually, watching that video again reminded me of a clip I've been trying to find for this thread. There was a worlds craziest police chases video. The guy ran through (I think LA), lost all 4 tires to spike strips/getting them shot out. Fired on police, was in at least 2 high speed collisions and still somehow made it out to his ex bosses place, way out of the city, who had a massive collection of guns. I think he jacked a second car. He stayed in there in a siege situation for just under 3 days, but the last half of the clip was him dealing with SWAT negotiators and eventually giving himself up. If anybody knows the vid I'm talking about, please help me find it. The carchase was crazy, but seeing how negotiators helped bring things to an end where nobody died was just amazing. (Also, no my knowledge nobody was seriously injured throughout any of the clip[I'm pretty sure the show doesn't air ones when that happens] only the guy who did the crimes got winged in the shoulder).

I was going to put the youtube here, but they didn't have the full session. If you are a fan of At the Drive-In or other post hardcore bands, I came upon La Dispute quite accidentally last year and they've definitely jumped to one of my favorite bands of the last four to five years. http://audiotree.tv/session/la-dispute/ I really can't get enough of these guys. I've seen them live a few times and highly recommend if they ever have a show in your area, check them out. They are all super nice and very down to earth too.
