Mister Chief posted:300, huh? The 'spineless' stuff is the criticism I can't let slide. It's not spineless for a superior player to get you out with a good delivery, it's skill not spine. If BJ Watling edges an outswinger to the keeper he is declared 'spineless' by our fans whereas if he is lucky enough to miss it or edge through the slips and end up with a score he is declared 'gritty', to me it shows a fundamental lack of understanding of the game, and the respective talents of our players versus the opposition. Franklin just plain sucks though.

Came for the thread blowing up over Australia picking five bowlers, and I have to say you all delivered. I presume Inverarity, Bichel et al are thinking that it's about time to rotate in all the frontline fast bowlers at the moment? Just in time to rotate them all out for the ODI non-series or Indian tour? Sure the wicket is a touch green, but that's no reason not to blood new batsmen to replace both Watson and Hussey? To think we lost to NZ last season in Hobart...

It's quite remarkable that this South African bowling lineup has rolled a team for less than 50 runs twice in the space of just over a year.

Mister Chief posted:What's the biggest test defeat ever? 5th Ashes test of 1938, where Australia lost by an innings and 579 runs. England scored 903 runs in their first (and only) innings, with their opening batsman Sir Leonard Hutton scoring 364 runs. He scored more than the Australian team combined could in their two innings, where they scored 201 and 123 respectively. New Zealand's biggest test defeat was in 2002, in Lahore to Pakistan (I believe this was the tour where there was a terrorist incident right outside the Black Caps team hotel), where they were beaten by an innings and 324 runs. Pakistan set a target of 643 runs, half of which came from Inzamam-ul-Haq's 329 runs. The Black Caps could only offer 73 runs and 246 runs in their two innings. The lowest total for a team is 26, by New Zealand in the second test of England's tour of New Zealand in 54/55. England won by an innings and 20 runs. New Zealand set a target of 200, England responded with 246. England then dismissed New Zealand for 26 in the second innings. edogawa rando fucked around with this message at 21:30 on Jan 2, 2013 |

Greetings, friends. I'm a technological retard who needs to figure out a way to listen to ABC commentary, is there a way to get around that stupid 4 second delay? If I have to listen to Ian Healy for much longer i'm going to have to set myself on fire out the front of the SCG.

The default ABC web stream is slightly ahead of the TV, I have tried to find a program that will delay sound coming out of my soundcard but no such luck.
