There's an interesting underground psychedelic trend happening right now, and it's not purely nostalgia based; some of it employs modern elements and unique, original approaches. To clarify, do you want this to be a thread just for fairly new psychedelic music? I mean posting stuff like Pink Floyd that everyone's heard of wouldn't be very interesting but there are plenty of older obscure/foreign psychedelic acts that are gems.

Backing this recommendation, just check this poo poo out, The Galaxial Pharmaceutical and The Mello Hippo Disco Show. They were my first proper, pure psych band, and I could say the last some may ever need. Gaz Cobain and Brian Dougans make some of the most cooky, introspective or bubble psych rock you can find. They also do collab work, like they did with Oasis on a remix of Falling Down, which I would easily put in the top five things Oasis released.

Those Morgan Delt tracks are really really good. I just purchased a digital copy of his album thanks to this thread. If you want a great space rock band, you should hear Hidria Spacefolk. One of the best psychedelic albums out there are the two Duke of Stratosphere releases. Basically, in their mid-80s lull, XTC decided to make an EP that parodied and pay homage to the music they loved growing up, and throughout the six songs, they took on stuff like the Electric Prunes, Sid Barret era Pink Floyd, and of course the Beatles. Then they released an album after their breakthrough "Skylarking" that threw in a bit of Small Faces' "Ogden Gone Nut Flake" and the Hollies and the Beach Boys. I made a thread about Broadcast back in October when they announced they were going to be releasing their soundtrack LP. They're probably my favorite band ever. Ghost started out playing at Buddhist temples in the 80s and have been a consistent force for really awesome poo poo (not to be confused with Japanese visual kei band "Ghost" or lovely American metal band Ghost). Metró. A Hungarian group active in the mid-60s to early 70s. Discovered them by finding a record of Zoran Sztevanovity's at a shop, and on his website he listed the Metró discography as well. Piqued my interest as ehe record I picked up was a solo record consisting of Metró songs (released around 1985). Some of the tunes have a 60s/13th Floor Elevators veneer going but I'd say they sound pretty thoroughly modern, overall. Noooooo don't die thread! I'm really liking the more pop-oriented stuff like Jacco and Foxygen. I'm not finding nearly as much experimental, instrumental pscyhedelic music like I'd attribute to early Pink Floyd, though. The closest thing I've found is this, which I stumbled upon in the  music thread. It's fun and enjoyable, but still a far, far cry from A Saucerful of Secrets, though. Master Musicians of Bukkake are a Seattle-based psych-drone group that are kind of reminiscent of Sunn O))) seen through a filter of Tuvan throat singing and sitar... if that makes sense.
