The weirdest bit about the bandwagoning going on here is the way people are jumping between bandwagons, despite the fact that changing your vote between two submissions that are both in the top 3 has (extremely close to) no effect at all. Are they that desperate to be with all the cool kids?

My reasoning was that, if Kyoon gains enough of a lead (it's already double the votes of the closest runner-up, at last count!), Wiz mightn't even randomize. Or, what Pakled said.

That was unexpected. I'm sorry, I didn't what power I had.Magrov posted:I'll do it. I'm at work, so there's nothing better to do. Also, it's just a bunch of votes since the last tally. This is an extremely small nitpick, but if you're basing this off of the previous tally that was posted, I noticed you included both Religious Appointment and Appointed by God, which as far as I can tell are the same thing. quote:Votes Rise to Power Anyway, thanks for doing the counting.

Are they that desperate to be with all the cool kids? Wiz made the top 3 rule when the top 3 were closely contested. Kyoon has an absolutely insurmountable lead at this point and as many votes as the next two competitors combined. I'm not saying he won't still stick with the random selection from the top 3 shtick, but it would make complete sense for him just to pick Kyoon at this point. What I thought I was remembering being implemented was actually him potentially amending the rule to the top 5 for rises of power.

I remember when we had a long thread in LF to talk about kyoon, back when he was re-regging and getting banned every week or so, and the consensus, based on post history and behavior, was that he was genuinely mentally ill. This is a guy who earnestly believes that he has access to dangerous and secret truths the rest of us are blind to. He keeps coming back because he thinks we're listening -- after all every time he posts, like fifty goons immediately jizz themselves for the chance to be in a kyoon thread before it's gassed. He's not a funny gimmick or a goofy clown to laugh along with, he's a genuinely disturbed person who, for whatever reason, has given hundreds of dollars to lowtax and co. for the privilege of getting banned endlessly. I don't know if he reads lp or if he'd even care that we used his name. But turning a real person with serious problems into our own personal mascot just feels icky.

I'm going to speak up for Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger, installed via religious appointment. Don't really have much to say on background.

Between arguing over what the rules for naming are and the rights to vote for whatever name you like you guys are going to ruin this before its started. It seems to become a bandwagon when its not YOUR bandwagon... ps There were no good names until Kyoon, its no better mind you, but dont think long assed name or pretend Pope are better.

Also changing my vote from Ratzinger to El Penis Grande, a Leftist Author (he leans sharply to the left) who was a Religious Appointment (he puts the erection in "resurrection." But I'd also like to propose the introduction of alternative voting into this LP, so if EPG doesn't get into the big three, I'm throwing my support back to Ratzinger.
