I can't help but think that Zickenterror would have been a better title for that movie.

That movie rules anyway, it has The Gunny, playing the same character from FMJ, basically (I think that's the only character he can do).

That would b R. Lee Ermey, and he's been playing a drill instructor for years not just because of FMJ, but because he actually was one.

Part of Kubrick's magic with FMJ is that he invented the cliche of the hardass instructor/stand-up comic, which is actually straight out of reality. Movies/TV before FMJ actually had the fantasy version, and the cartoonish Ermey was true to life. :eng101:

And Ermey has been typecast ever since. If he's not playing a drill instructor or general military badass, he's a cop, 9 times out of 10. And sometimes a cruel boss for dudes who talk to rats.

Outside the USA it was re-titled 'Evil Woman' because I guess not enough people saw Saving Silverman.

And then the remake turns a good concept into The Rat Whisperer.

A teenage Michael Jackson did the theme song to the sequel to Willard.

That's not super topical but it's one of my favorite movie facts.

I still can't believe this movie came out in 1999. It looks like something made ten years earlier: http://www.virginmedia.com/movies/find/bats/trailers/bats-trailer/86318833001

Also, I can't find it but I swear there was some kind of TV spot (the movie practically went straight-to-network) where at the very end they played some kind of awful rock song where the singer's screaming "...the bats are gonna git ya, bats are gonna git ya!". That's all I remembered about it.

This one is especially annoying because Jurassic Park is one of the big hits from the wave of early '90s films that ended the neon '80s look.
