This is Crassus giving Sparticus his absolute best shot, Spartacus looking him in the eye, saying, "gently caress your best!" and then flipping him over like a rag doll.

Absolute pinnacle of the series. The roman genius imperator who respects his opponent enough to put his entire being into killing him still underestimates Spartacus enough to have his own moved turned back on him.

the posted:Amazing episode. Amazing finale. Amazing series. I've never really felt "sad" at the end of a series, even with shows that had a lot of death at the end like Lost or Battlestar Galactica. It will be the only series that I buy in it's entirety, mostly so I can lend it out to others. That final part made me happy in a very gay way.

As I'm typing this reply all I'm seeing is a flaming Lugo murdering romans forever and it's awesome. I'll be brutally honest and say this is my favorite show on television. This finale was amazing and gave me both goosebumps and tears and it beats Game of Thrones, which is starting to piss me off because it constantly removes important battles and cheaps out. Here's how GoT, a series which had like 69 million motherfucking dollars in budget for season 2 alone did every battle except one (which they spent 10 million on): *screen fades to black, generic battle sounds happen* -Well that sure was a great victory!/defeat! The fights are also terrible and last about 30 seconds at most. None of that pussy rear end poo poo in Spartacus. I have no idea what the budget was for season 3 but for blood and sand they had like 12 million and season 3 has been the best television I've ever watched. Pure action, great acting and dialogue, satisfying as hell choreography. I think this finale had everything, I can't think of anything negative to say. Pompey looked like such a douchenozzle it was hilarious. All cleaned up in his white armor with an expression that rivaled rapeface levels of smugness and decadence. I expected less deaths amongst our heroes but every death was done exactly how it should have been. I don't think anything will top this series and this finale in a long time.

This is one of, if not THE, most satisfying series finale's I have ever watched. And then the credits running us back through the entire cast... I'm honestly moved. That was pure good TV right there.

This finale was SO COOL that I actually had to take breaks because I was getting so excited my stomach started hurting. I also started losing my voice about halfway through because of cheering and declaring how loving COOL what just happened was. Everyone who died did so on pretty awesome terms (except for Naevia, my brother actually cheered that she went out like a punk), all the speeches were loving top, and that ending was just absolutely perfect even though the second Andy was on screen I violently burst into tears. My stomach hurt before because of all the hype. Now it hurts because Spartacus isn't coming back next week. Or ever Going to miss this show like it was a member of my family, but also really excited to see where these actors go next (hopefully a certain space military show...) Everyone from the cast and crew have been amazing, it's been an absolute joy to watch these past few years.

I smiled so hard when Gannicus saw Oenomaus. Speaking on Oenomaus, he looked different somehow. Maybe because he was missing all of his battle scars.

One of the more emotional moments for me was the part where Spartacus gives his last speech and everyone is thanking him. The acting was just so loving superb I don't even know what to say...It was just so natural and convincing, the palpable respect that all those people had for him was really very moving. There was another point mid-way into the season (I think?) where there was some guy selling bootleg deer meat in the camp and Spartacus goes and talks to him. The guy is just talking poo poo about Spartacus being a poo poo leader and totally loving up all of his followers, and when he realizes he's actually talking to Spartacus himself he goes into full on begging for forgiveness Spartacus just says something like "Everyone in this camp is always free to speak their mind". It's one of those things that just gives you a huge surge of pride to the point where you can physically feel it. This show is great at giving you intense joy, excitement, anxiety, fear, sadness...all of those emotions and more, but it's just the sheer loving pride it wells up inside of you that is the most effective part of the whole series, in my opinion. There isn't any show on TV I can point to that does that as well as Spartacus does.

And that those who seek to place heel on the throat of liberty, will fall to the cry of freedom. This ending was so loving awesome. Crassus grabbing the blade only to be cockblocked by Spartacus was such a great moment not in just this show, but in television in general. Sure, this show had loads of tits, blood and gore, but it also had a degree of symbolism not seen in many other offerings on television. edit: The show ending with Andy proclaiming he's Spartacus was just brilliant. I know how the story had to end but that didn't stop me from wishing that in the very last scene, as Agron, Nasir, Saxa, Laeta, Gannicus, Lugo and Spartacus were about to be defeated, a strange white flash of light makes them vanish and they appear in the distant future as soldiers in an interplanetary war... Confused and using their laser rifles as clubs with much success. Then somewhere around episode 3 one of them could figure out its a gun and how to use it and poo poo just gets REAL! Also as the pass Jupiter one of them could say "By Jupiter's Cock!"

Man why does this show have such low ratings on metacritic? Everything about this show is loving awesome. It has something for everyone, whether you just want to see some tits and blood, or you want a story that has a bunch of symbolism and deeper meaning, it's all there. I just started rewatching season 1, and it became clear to me how many overarching themes there are. There's the whole thing that Spartacus is not his real name, the theme of the gods and how each character views them and their intentions, the whole bringer of rain thing, Sura's predictions, not trusting a Roman's word, and of course the most important theme of freedom. The show seemed to consistently explore the topics and really made you think about those things, especially on rewatch, but none of it seems heavy handed or forced at any point. Spartacus' speech before they all went out to war, man that had me so hyped up. I definitely teared up near the end. This was an absolutely incredible series, I wish I knew more people that watched Spartacus. Definitely gonna go crazy trying to recommend this show to as many people as I can.quote:(hopefully a certain space military show...) I'm dumb and don't know what this is referencing but I feel like I should be watching it?

If he puts as much effort into that as he did Spartacus it will obviously loving rule. As a spartacus aside: There are more than a handful of movies with worse fight choreography than Spartacus, like hundreds of handfuls more. Gosh all the fights ruled.

Wait I thought all the people talking about Spartacus in space were joking. That might actually happen, on top of the Caesar spinoff? There's a part of me that hopes it won't happen because I'm pretty sure my brain would rupture from how intensely awesome it would most likely be.

Definitely one of the most satisfying series finales I've ever seen. They actually managed to make me think "are they seriously going to kill Crassus ignoring history?" like 3 times. Gannicus' arena hallucination, Spartacus impaled with 3 spears, the complete baller way that Caesar slashes Naevia's throat was a complete gently caress off backwards sword slash when he wasn't even looking.
