This is a cross-post from the YOSPOS cat thread. I don't think I've posted Chubby in here, though.

When we originally adopted Chubby, his previous owners had mentioned he had ear mites and gave us the medicine they got for him. We continued the treatment, but his ear didn't get better and he was still scratching at it. We took him to the vet nearby (a cat specialist) and she diagnosed it as a yeast infection. We changed his medicine and the infection started to clear up, but then we noticed his left ear was not standing up, was swelling pretty badly and was sensitive to the touch. We took him to the vet the next day; it turns out with all the stress on his ear, he had developed an aural hematoma and had to have surgery.

During the surgery, the vet had to cut some of the cartilage in his ear, so his ear is permanently derpy now.

He's recovered nicely, though. He's also made it clear that we're not allowed to travel for business, but his plans get foiled because he's only 13 pounds and we can just lift him off the suitcase.

"My chair now, bitch."

His ear has grown almost all its fur back.

He's also much more active and happy now that his ear doesn't hurt. Still sleeps 20 hours a day, though.

Cleo was so tiny when we got her.

She displays some very photogenic streaks, and it was around this time I started noticing she had those funny little black tufts on her ears and rather large paws.

She also has hilarious rabbit feet.

She's growing up to be quite the model.

At less than a year still, she's uh definitely a growing baby.

When I used to volunteer at the SPCA they had a cat there with the same issue as Chubby :3 his name was Porkchop and he was a really nice cat. I was always surprised to see him because I was sure he'd be adopted.

Haha, that's awesome. Porkchop rules. I hope he went to a good forever home.

No, this isn't me, or my cat (although I DO have a rather chubby mask and mantle cat with a soul patch, who I may post pictures of him laying on his back later), but I really like this picture because I feel it reflects the average attitude of a cat's response to its owner's affection for it. That being said, my cat is actually quite affectionate for a cat, and enjoys being petted and even picked up.

I also really like chubby and or fluffy cats with a permanent "I hate everything" look (peke-faced cats), even if my nose quite thoroughly disagrees with me in terms of fluffy cats.

This one too, because gorillas and cats are some of my favourite species on Earth.

OK. I won't rub you more than five minutes. How's that, huh? How do you like that?

She can walk and jump, though I don't know if that's changed since that video was made. She's a really messed up cat, regardless.

That's from when she was littler, she can still walk but can no longer jump. From what her owner has said in the Lil Bub documentary and on his Tumblr Bub is still in relatively good health but she's going to have more issues down the line from her bone disorder.

I was almost late for work today because I was making friends with this totally awesome cat,

I see this cat around sometimes, and always stop to pet it, it looks like it's made from nightmares with it's insanely orange eyes, but is actually a massive sweetheart, and is so soft. I love it so much, but it's so hard to get a picture of him, I think he knows deep down that people think he's ugly because he's always hiding his little squishy face from the camera. He's also kind of genetically messed up, his nose is so pushed in that you can hear him snuffling when he breathes.

I got to meet Bub because she lives in the same town I do. She's a real sweetie pie and seems to enjoy the attention. That or she isn't fully cognizant that she's in a room full of people, which freaks most cats the gently caress out.

This legit made me :smith: . I just sort of made a "Nnnn." noise. I would tell him he was a pretty wonderful kitty that is all floofy and sweet. Then I would brush him because he needs a brushing.

Orange cat eyes are so pretty!

Dunno. I've never heard of her being anything but calm and affectionate, but how many cats could you carry around Manhattan without freaking out?

She's supposedly nice around people but doesn't like other cats/dogs. They're also pretty up front about her other problems so you'd think they'd mention if she was retarded.

He definitely needs a good brush, every time I see him I do a quick check to see whether he's homeless or not, but as far as I can tell, he's not. His fur isn't matted, he's a decent weight and he never has any cuts/scabs on him, so I figure he does have a home, just not a collar, and his owners are too lazy to brush him. Which sucks, as I'd totally take him in if he was homeless, he's ace.
Speaking of insanely floofy cats that could do with a brush, here's a super old picture of my cat Furby

He is dumb as hair, and loves to be held like a baby.

My awesome cat who passed away a few years ago. It's such a shame I've got so few photos of her. We took her in when she was young and pregnant and she had the best litter I've ever seen in our shed. There was a kitten for every one of her colours. She never quite lost that wild streak and rarely bothered with anyone but she would occasionally sleep on my chest when I slept on the couch. Was just the funniest and cutest thing. She was also crazy for jam donuts.
