It would probably help if the clan system didn't feel like it was from a game made 5 years ago.

Is there jsut a new GOON guild out there, or.....are you guys saying you're Civil on BLR? <w<

Did you guys go for intermediaries or did you stick with a 208/210 build until you hit the levels required for those armor bits?

Yeah, if you want to go ahead and pick up the WarmongerL1 chest if you want to get something right now. I’m still getting used to GP falling out of the sky like candy and the armor costing half what it used to. You used to have to play 75 to 85 games to get enough GP to unlock a single piece of armor. Now you can do it in half that if not a quarter. Hell, I'll probably buy it too just to have all the 2 slot items.

They are really expensive, basically. You could buy like two whole guns for the price of one backpack.

I really wish they had dropped the GP price of the tactical gear to match the armor. Oh well. At least it's much easier to come by 11,000 funbucks these days.

Missions also drop 7-day tactical backpacks like candy, you will usually always have some good one available (since only the HRV Ping and the ammo pod are really crap), so I think they are now much less of a purchasing priority. Though that makes it stranger to still see people without one.

Yeah, the first purchase of a revive pack broke the bank for me, and it's taking weeks to save up for a medic kit too, but it's crazy to think that people would forego an entire (really important) gear slot just for more guns. Especially when, for instance, the medic and engineer kits are themselves capable of dealing damage when all your other guns are empty.

I tried out the ammo pod and it really was terrible. It might have been OK if it actually recharged like the medic kit, but it didn't seem to.

the GP is pretty much just time based, but the xp on medium is probably improved markedly by the sheer number of bronze tokens dropped left and right by regular zombies. It's a shame nobody seems to play it, even on easy.

Hell, I might get in on that more after I complete a few daily missions that I go for, generally. If there are goons on that are willing to join me, the more the merrier.

I did a medium OS today where I had 2.5x the kills of the player in 2nd place. We lost. I can only carry so hard against AI. :(

I don't play it because they don't allow mid-game joining. If a server has players, it's usually not in intermission. Which is too bad, I'd totally play half a game of that, even if the first few waves are the best in terms of effort for funbux.

How popular are the ArmCom Piranha legs? They add decent health for less run/stamina penalties than the Diamondback. Thinking of combining it with the Warmonger chest piece if it's something I might also end up using in other builds in the future.

Edit: VVV Well, I certainly enjoy being special. :downs: I'll pass.

Not very. The Colossus legs give the same HP and slots but with better stamina. That said, you can buy them now and not wait. Depends on your priorities. That and you could be a unique snow flake at the price of a little stamina.

The Frag does 400 damage over 10 meters, and the HE does 500 damage over 6.5 meters. Why is the HE considered better? Both numbers are higher than the health pool of any player.

The damage drop-off from the center of the blast is pretty significant. With a tighter blast-radius, you get a smaller drop-off. Coupled with the higher damage output of the HE grenade, and you tend to do more damage with it, if not outright kill someone.

Generally, your grenades are either going to be used to simply flush someone out of an area without really damaging them, or they're going to kill them before they can react. In my experience, there's very little in-between.

Okay, if I wanted to go for a 250 health build because I am a bad and am bad at exploiting soft stats like speed because I am incapable of thinking tactically and flanking, what sort of armor bits should I be looking at? I still want a 4 tactical slot build if possible. HRV recharge would be the icing on top, of course.

You can only achieve 250 HP with the second- and third-last body pieces (the heavy ones), the Diamondback legs, and either the Slant (lower HRV recharge, higher armor) or Fox+Cat (higher HRV recharge, lower armor) helmet. There might be a 248-hp build that you can toss in an HP+ weapon tag with but I wouldn't know what it is.

Personally I roll with:
-Third-last body
-Colossus legs
-Hunter helmet

I think this gets me 240 HP and serves me well enough as a heavy build.

All of the above configurations will give you four slots.

Fox+Cat helmet, X2 tactical/Impact CQT chests and Diamondback legs will give you 250 health, 4 slots and the second highest recharge.

Sweet. Obviously that isn't the most viable thing since the 224 built is all the rage nowadays, but hopefully I can use it's relatively simple playstyle to my advantage. Thanks, goons.

Edit: Can't get the Fox/Cat and I can't get the third to last chest yet. I've got a feeling I'll be playing a lot of Onslaught in the near future. That's good for xp and gp as well, right? Pretty relaxing and non-rage inducing, too. Should be good.
