Yeah if you think about all these (mostly) women sitting down and doing these role plays for creeps to watch in the name of relaxation it's pretty awkward and creepy. Like, I find this nerve exam done by a physicians as part of a documentary on TBIs in sports to be relaxing. To get all  , partnered grooming behavior is a very important social activity for higher primates like chimpanzees. So it's possible that lice checks trigger a similar response in humans. Probably massages and haircuts and other such things trigger similar instinctual responses. Of course while your lower primate brain is digging it your higher primate brain is going "GAH BUGS ON MY HEAD" so it's probably not as relaxing if you can think about it. This is all supposition on my part, I don't have any data to back it up.
