I just want to chime in and say that, with due respect to Jon, Game Grumps has never been better now that Danny and Arin are doing it. Their recent Pac-Attack episode is just fantastic, and it's been the latest in a string of really knock-out funny episodes. They take some time to build steam, but they're really doing great right now, certainly better than any Grumps poo poo has been since the early days of the show.

Oh God he does that as well. To a show that slam dunks MLP in terms of "so hey let's do something geared towards women" that unlike the horse_cartoon it didn't turn into "hey let's play up to whatever grown up dude audience we got here!".

I really think Doug needs to start focusing on really bad stuff again. His Avatar reviews in particular are showing how little he knows about writing in general unless it in terms of super obvious bad writing.

And even on that he fucks up (Independence Day with BOOMER!!!, Signs with "how come a traumatized child isn't shrieking in horror" and Double Team with "why would anyone whose child got shot by the protagonist's team would feel rambly and droney")

Honestly, I don't really think he needed to go through every single episode, sometimes he looks like he really just doesn't know what to say on some episodes, he should have only done episodes he really wanted to talk about or had something to say. Who knows, it might all be worth it, for that Last Airbender review, but then again it could be one of those reviews where he slaps some lame skit with those Demo Reel guys that isn't the least bit funny. Which will probably happen since he is hyping up this one so much.

Which will probably happen since he is hyping up this one so much. I'm really, really hoping this isn't the case. He just needs to watch the movie then write his review of it and turn that into a video. Honesty. As much honesty as possible. And that's all he really needs to make it one of his best reviews. A few jokes wouldn't hurt, but just straight up tearing into this movie is all I'm asking for... That's probably not gonna happen, though. I'm guessing he's gonna have a skit where he's acting as Shyamalan bumbling through his career, starting with accidentally making Sixth Sense great, then progressively getting more arrogant and stubborn with each movie until everybody is sick of him and he finds himself without friends or guidance and is forced to make Last Airbender, possibly while drunk. Kinda like what he did with Bay for Pearl Harbor, only even less informed, funny or coherent. Also, watching his Sailor Moon review right now. Wow, that opening was a nostalgia rush, and I drat near forgot those PSAs. The jokes are drat funny, Sailor Vadar cracked me up, and he's clearly well researched into the topics he's talking about. (which helps make everything funnier) Just... stop gyrating for the camera when pretending to have your penis talk, okay?

Yeah Danny has an amazing chemistry with Jon, even Ross is great when they're all in a room together. Danny let's jokes take their course and enhances them rather than screaming and shrieking and randomly singing like Jon, who had a habit of stopping jokes dead in their tracks with his shouting. You guys haven't lived until you heard mr. Wilson from Dennis the menace rapping in seething anger

Yeah, Game Grumps with Arin and Danny is way funnier and higher quality than GameGrumps with Arin and Jon (or at least, for the last six months or so, I still stay the Goof Troop series is the best work they've done overall, although they've never been able to reach that quality again except in a couple spurts during Sonic 06.) At the very least the actual gameplay has been a much higher quality, there hasn't been a frustrating "WHY DON'T THEY REALIZE (X) OR JUST DO (Y)" pretty much ever. Danny seems to be very competent at playing video games (and completely decimated a few of them...I lost some degree of respect for the AVGN when Danny blew through the entirety of Karate Kid with no problem whatsoever in like ten minutes), and to my knowledge I don't remember him ever going on some sort of "We shouldn't have to play the tutorial/read the instructions because it should be intuitive" rant that clearly hinders their progress and I think that attitude is rubbing off on Arin. And I say this as someone who watched GG initially because I was a fan of JonTron's videos and beforehand I wasn't quite sure who EgoRaptor was (I had seen a few of his animations on Newgrounds like PokeAwesome because I checked the site on occasion but I never paid much attention and could never name which artist made which animation that I had seen)

Though to be fair, their Super Mario Sunshine videos had some fairly annoying bits of ignoring blatant visual cues. Fortunately it doesn't really matter since Arin/Danny actually tell jokes unlike the last six months where Jon was really obviously burnt out so most videos boiled down to "HEY JON I SAW THIS MOVIE - YEAH ARIN I DID TOO LOL". I really hope the same thing doesn't happen again.

I must be honest, the Goof Troop one is the only one they've done that I've watched the whole way through ("You go learn a hard day's work while I masturbate in a field"). I might have to give the new guys a go, since everybody seems to think they're pretty good.

I've discovered that Brad Jones and crews' Current Movie Reviews are far more enjoyable when I watch them after actually watching the movie they're talking about, as I actually have context to what they're talking about beyond just their reactions. The exception, of course, are really awful kids movies I'm never going to see, like the Smurfs movies. Those are so much gold, just for Jake's rage.

I just started watching this show so I would be ready when they posted this. Can't believe they spun up the Gary Coleman short Brad just did a few weeks ago...clearly, it was meant to be. Apology if this is a repost, but has anyone watched Bennet's "Top 20 Worst Number One Songs"?: http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/bt/the-sage/specials/40199-the-top-20-worst-number-one-songs It's pretty long at over an hour, but he did his research. It strikes me how young he is! Only 23! It's so weird to me that he didn't grow up with Thriller and only associates MJ with pedo jokes and the Simpsons. I also unabashedly love Bryan Adams "Everything I Do (I Do It For You) because of the Robin Hood movie, and like Lionel Richie's "Hello". He really hates soft rock, which I just really don't find offensive enough to hate.

Yeah, finally got to watch it and I thought it was pretty good as well. Compared to The Proxy I think it helps a lot that it has the tone of something you would expect Ashens (the character) to appear in, as well as significantly improved production values. I also really liked the surreal claymation dream sequence.
