In my experience, if the train door does not open on the second day after trading some of the paintings, it means that there won't be an ambush. Just hurry to the van and tie down the three civvies that show up there.

I've never once done Frames 2 without the ambush happening, usually before we've even got all the bags out of the train, including the times (which have all been since the patch) that the door didn't open before the final painting was up.

I think they've fixed this in patch 5 so that the doors stay closed but the ambush only occurs if you didn't stealth day 1. It's still possible to have the police show if you don't deal with the dock workers though and they seem to be alerted by the helicopter leaving, so you have to be fast to get them under control.

For the record, as soon as the doors open you should have a mastermind (ideally) sprinting towards the street to control the three workers. They seem to spawn in an agitated state so if they aren't dealt with shortly they phone the police.

I wish they remove the drat money drops because is painful enough to get a single attachment for weapons I actually use. They've patched plenty of stuff but they keep that poo poo, oh, and getting four bulldozers spawn at the same time on the first assault wave. Is the third time today I see that wiping out us all. Then you restart the mission and get maybe one or two total.

Just started messing around with the saw. Pretty fun but having a hard time finding a complimentary secondary. Best results have been with that mini AK.

What are the levels I should be bringing this to? Bank obviously and the painting day but what else?

Is the ace carbon skill worth it?

If you're deep enough in Enforcer for a Saw you should be rocking a Loco for all the sweet shotgun skills you should have picked up.

Right? Riiiiight?

If you're going to go Saw primary, I would recommend either the Locomotive, or the Bronco. The Locomotive for anything under Overkill, and the Bronco for Overkill since the Locomotive takes three headshots to kill a tan FBI swat. Ammo management becomes a problem, admittedly, but being able to near insta-kill bulldozers is the best feeling in the world.

When you ace the saw skill, you get an extra blade. Does an ammo refill give you 3 then instead of two? That would mean 12 saw blades from an ammo bag instead of 8, that's actually pretty significant.

I think the problem with the carbon blade skill is that it isn't enough to hit a breakpoint on anything. If you ace carbon blade can you even get deposit boxes in one tap? If not, you might as well be setting all 12 points on fire.

Fully Loaded gives you another half of a blade (it's at ~50% durability) and actually aides your ammunition count with other weapons so you should definitely get that before you even think of putting any more points into the saw. And, yeah, that's how it works. You'd get nearly four full blades with Fully Loaded and the saw skill aced.

Just get Berserker Ace or whatever the right skill on the fourth tier is. It actually has some benefit outside of using the saw, and if you have low health you can one tap deposit boxes. Or you can dump those points into something that, so far, is only useful for getting a few more bags of loot on a single heist, because spending money is what no one has enough of in this game. There's really nothing you need an ungodly amount of sawblades/sawblade durability for.

The Loco does not take 3 shots to the head on any sort of non-special cop

Or at least I can regularly mow even heavies down like 20 meters out with a shot to the head, sometimes two.

(At least for a ranked up Enforcer with Overkill and the shotgun skills)

I don't know if bringing a saw just to saw out the bottom is worth it on Watchdogs Day 1. Seeing that you are severely handicapping yourself and your team with having no primary in what is a long shootout is not a good idea. Added to the fact that the saw is of negligible benefit since the only use it gets is to saw out the bottom at the start of the mission and that is it.

Holy poo poo, I just saw something in the FF7 LP thread that gave me the perfect idea for how Overkill could make money relevant again:
http://www.icollector.com/Commemorative-Colt-Wyatt-Earp-Buntline-Special-Revolver_i10495186

Put gold mods in the game, make them Infamous items, have them cost 5-10x the price and provide like +1 (-1 recoil and noise... and maybe +10 visibility :v:) on every stat compared to the non-gold versions of the same mods. Also, put in precious metal versions of every gun (maybe Infamous drops, maybe just unlocked with level progression--maybe even something as simple as just the regular gun levels +60), where they're functionally equivalent to the regular guns except they cost like 10-100x the base weapon's price. Not necessarily gold with those; maybe a nice titanium or silver/platinum, or even a shiny sea green-lime corroded bronze color.

Hope you like having only 1 mag change.

This game needs a complete overhaul on the server browser and card system. Payday 1 choosing what mission you wanted to do didn't involve staring at a blue map hoping your mission pops up. Oh wait the difficulty is to low, to bad so sad might as well start a new lobby and hope for the best. Also why can't I just buy the mods for guns? Hell I'll even accept the insane pricing on them if they got rid of the loving cards. And why add escape to 1 day missions? A solution for people who don't like speed runs?

Escape missions would be fine if the cards are addressed but until it is this game is not getting any funner that's for sure.

Just about the only use I get from it is doing rats day 2 where the gangsters have low health and so I'm able to clear out an entire hallway and two rooms quickly before having to worry about reloading. Outside of that, it's just about useless unless you're really fond of normal and hard difficulty where nobody has armor.

Pro is the red outline and indicates a slightly more difficult, one-chance only job, but iirc Pro can be for any difficulty.

Difficulties are indicated by the gold dots/skulls following the initial white dots/skulls which indicate the base difficulty. More white = harder by default, 0 gold = normal, 1 gold = hard, 2 gold = very hard, 3 gold = Overkill.

I just solo stealthed 99% of Framing Frame (thanks for the bag help gamesguy!) and that was cool and fun.

e: And holy hell, I could never really find a mask/material/colour combo that looked good until I realized I had my textures on low. Turned them up, and now when customizing even the awful oak pattern looks pretty decent. Carbon fibre, Celtic knot, grey/black is a very nice combo.

I have the strangest thing going on with Payday 2, having a real hard time getting connected to a game in the first place and nine times out of ten I end up getting more and more desynced until I get booted off the server with the message "connection to host (alternatively one or more players) could not be established". I tried pretty much all of the asinine "community fixes" Overkill posted on the issue after I found out that this is a common problem, to no avail. The kicker however is that I can play perfectly well until about 4 pm and then it just all goes to poo poo. :downs:

If it's reliably on a clock, it could be your ISP doing bandwidth fuckery or filtering certain types of traffic after a certain time. I know mine (Hawaiian Telcom) throttles some download and video streaming traffic during peak evening hours (though because I get such a crappy internet package, I don't see a difference).

Yeah, that's possible. I never had any issues with Payday 1 or Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 though, which is somewhat odd if that's the case.

There seems to be nothing to be done on my end so I can only speculate to pass the time while not robbing a bank on the internet. :sigh:

Get it! It basically turns the Locomotive into a primary weapon. Find the weakest cop in a crowd, and pop him with your first shot, then just dump the rest of your shots into heads. One shots anything but bulldozers and probably the new and improved tazers. The 6 seconds of double damage gets refreshed with each kill, so you can just go to town.
