I have a work crew setup but most of them still can't get in, I'd like to play with some goons. Yeah, you can be in up to five crews and set any one to active. Finally managed to get in on PS3. Playing solo works fine now that I'm past the tutorial race. And even got to play online with other people (barring some failed to join activity mishagosh). To my fellow member in 1009 who bumped me off the road in the beginning of the race... poo poo didn't work, I still won.

I can already tell that grinding out money and levels through replaying missions is going to be so easy. I'm fine with that but still, the economy of the game is going to be so weird with that and how unprofitable Free Roam Pubby Slaughterhouse is.

How does one delete a character? When my online loads it automatically tries to throw me into the tutorial race, like the guy just walks into the marker. Then it freezes. How to I edit my character before all that? Or better yet, delete him. E: never mind, found it

A few hours ago, I played a round of golf as Franklin (gotta raise that strength stat somehow), then saved and quit to go take my dog for a walk (my actual dog, not Chop). I came back, and upon loading, I was standing in front of the golf club as expected, but instead of Frank's Buffalo, parked near me was my online dude's brown SUV. This game's launch issues are some  poo poo.I'm almost positive that some of these issues come from the system the game uses to remember what you were doing last and automatically drop you into the game as the character it thinks you were last playing as. ESPECIALLY if a half-remembered online character is involved.

Kill the character or reload a save game, that should fix it for you. Gonna try the delete patch and make a new character approach, it probably won't work. When you go into a job it creates a new instance away from the free roam - it had my location mapped, but I spawned at the bottom of the sea. Glug glug glug die

Tried the "delete title update and cache" approach and I'm getting the same results as ever, unfortunately. Weirdly, every time I log in, even though I can't play, my Cash keeps going up.

Is anybody else able to get through the tutorials but every character they make becomes corrupted the second they switch? At first I thought it was a problem with my network but now I don't even know.

Finally got it to work, and it seems like the tutorial queue or whatever is really the bottleneck, because everything after the first mission worked without issue. That seems like something they could fix, but what do I know!

At least there are more and more goons seeming to get in and play rather than just the very few at the beginning. Reading the comments on the support article and trending community questions is pretty funny though. Quite a lot of literal "gently caress you cockstar i'm selling this game!" and such.

Is it just me or is this the first time cars are like, dangerously fast? I've never really enjoyed just driving around in GTA before but something about having a fully modded sportscar and flying around at breakneck speeds with Franklin is just so much fun. Maybe it's just that his special ability allows me to push the cars as fast as they can go without crashing into a pole.

I was able to finally get mine working after deleting the title update, clearing cache and deleting my two frozen characters and makong a new one. This is on 360 and I've been trying obsessively for hours

Got the 93k appartment and it sucks. Shower doesnt remove scars and cctv is useless as you can only see 2 meters in front of the door, some guy with a bounty chased me and I used the cctv to check if it was safe to exit, got out and he was parked right in front out of camera view

Awesome. Some douche killed me as soon as I got into my first online game so I went to buy a bunch of pistol ammo. I killed him once in a pretty awesome backwards-driving pistol snipe and then I tracked him down to Michael's house and he started taking shots at my car from the tennis courts. I called the police and then drove past again... a few helicopters and police vans later, he left the game.

Was actually able to play online a good 2 hours tonight. Got all through the beginning "tutorial" missions. Bought some nice swag, found a sweet Sabre GT that I put a tracker on, I was set. Then I tried to join one of the Last Team Standing missions, and apparently Rockstar lacked the foresight to allow you to back out of the matchmaking screen, cause it sat and spun for about 20 minutes. Tired of waiting, I dropped to the dash and restarted the game. This wiped out my car, with no insurance company contact to call, and no map icon to go find it. It put me back into my default outfit, except for my hat and glasses (the ones I bought were still equipped). Checking the clothing stores shows that it remembered the shorts I purchased, as I can equip them for free, but not the shirt or boots. But it DID remember the money I spent on them. I think I'm just gonna stick to single player, cause gently caress redoing all that with a new character.
