Every time I equip the Eyelander, I gravitate towards the Chargin' Targe. For even more fun, use the Skullcutter with the Jumper. Gets rid of that pesky 'less movement speed' problem right quick.

A small buff I think the Loose Cannon could do with is increased damage to buildings, possibly on impact. At the moment you just can't do anything to them.

I haven't played MvM since it was launched, but I understand I can convert the free Christmas MvM ticket into an item of some sort I could sell on the market. What's the best way to do so as quickly and painlessly as possible? Play with some goons, I suppose? Any particular maps / servers that would do the job without dragging the game on for hours?

Go to the Goon Vs Machine chatroom with 3 more tickets(4 total) for a chance of killstreak items. Actually it's been a while since i've been on GvM or online at all. Hoping it's still fairly busy.

There is a small chance that you'll get a killstreak or a rare part from one ticket itself. Four gets you the tour completion kits/australium weapons.

We are pretty chill over at the GvM, and some of us know what we are doing, I guess! Half of us are usually drunk or have bad Australian ping or whatever, it's a blast. MvM isn't some min-max MMORPG raid strategy thing, it's dudes shooting AI bots down a chokepoint while making bad jokes.

So I've seen people do Bison-only MvM runs and now I want to do medic-only MvM. 2 with Medi-gun, 2 with Kritzkrieg, 1 with Quick-fix, and 1 with Vaccinator, with 3 putting upgrades mostly into uber rate and duration, and the rest putting upgrades mostly into needles and Ubersaw. It'd probably be tricky but it'd be hilarious.

Since about a year after I first started playing this game, what I've done is chose the class that is the least played on the team. I check every death and will switch appropriately even if the other person(s) who picked the class just connected. The only time I get to "choose" my class is when there's the same number of people for every class, or when I'm first on the team. I don't know if it's because I don't play on 24/7 ___, but oddly enough this has made sniper my most played class.

Gimmick rules: Primarily revolver spies, but to a lesser extent, any other class with a shooty gun weapon that isn't a primary. This means - 'fat scout' shotgun heavies, shotgun soldiers, pistol scouts, auto-rifle snipers, etc. (An exception for shooty engineers and battle-medics as well.) Fat spy heavies also acceptable for fun's sake. Also change your name to some permutation of "MR. (insert a pun about a color here)." Oh, and dress in a nice hip suit if you can. Revolver spies are amazing fun. Here's a proposal for next week's theme - a return to the "FUTURE WAR." Except THIS time, we're all cyborg samurai soldiers. This means: Laser rockets. Laser pistols. And Samurai swords. Also MIGHT allow other futuristic weapons as we did during the first Future War, but for now we focus on that gimmick. Mood music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7q-DmszAjYo Also, here's a blast FROM THE FUTURE of the previous Future War event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsuIpG7q_20 Spacedad fucked around with this message at 09:15 on Jan 18, 2014 |

My terrible as hell aim has been developing in using the Direct Hit to pop the more predictably moving Pyros, Medics, Demomen, and fellow Soldiers into the air and then But I just can't seem to pull this off with Heavies, who only bop up slightly to jump height or less and hit the ground again in less time it takes to fire a second rocket, let alone have one reach them in time (aside from a couple near point blank self damage inflicting cases). Is there some trick to not being a horrible failure at this, or are heavies just too fat to deliberately set up those sweet airshots for? Also, dumb question because not like I have good enough aim yet to nail rocket jumpers who know what they are doing. Do you get minicrits with the direct hit airshooting rocket jumping soldiers, if so does it not happen with jumper users?
