Ugh, I loving hate when people go insane with hashtags and aren't being ironic. These aren't including the bathroom selfies taken from the floor level (I think he has some timer app as its not built into instagram last I checked).

an overdue owl posted:Woah, small world. I can top your last one. I don't think our mutual friend fully understands St Patricks' day. Another awkward story, nothing to do with this guy. This story takes place when we were about 17-18, for reference. We had a guy in 6th Form who would just always carry a skateboard around, always wore a skating related snapback and would generally talk about 3 things - Self-harm, skateboarding, or girls. All three he was pretty much a failure at, but it was girl chat which always stuck with me. We'd all sit in a group, a good mix of girls and boys, and chat poo poo or play massive games of Mario kart or whatever, and he'd always do the same routine: look at his phone, sigh loudly, and then look around expecting 'WOAH something just happened in this guy's life!'. Everybody knew he did nothing but bullshit about everything though, and so nobody really asked him anything, which meant he'd often repeat it after a few minutes. One time after he did it and nobody cared, he shoved his phone into someone else's face. They looked at it, turned to him and said along the lines of 'why the gently caress are you showing me that', and of course somebody asks what it was. Turns out, it was nudes of a random girl. This sets him off, and he goes into his big explanation about how it's a girl he knows who thinks he's hot and how many more he has of other girls and so on so forth, everybody just staring at him. He thinks he's awesome, everybody else thinks he's creepy because he's got a reputation for being a bit of a lech and is pretty ugly in general. Somebody asks him how he knows the girls, he says he knows them from skating after school. This leads to the million dollar question, how old are the girls in the pictures. He says they're all in high school, so he's been carrying around a phone full of nudes ranging from 13-17. Then he starts to backpedal and say that they're fine because a lot of the girls are now over 16, and when it's pointed out that a) that is still child porn and b) the age of the girl doesn't matter, it's the picture, he starts trying to explain the law to us and how it's perfectly legal. I was going to post a picture of him, because he really does look awkward (greasy long hair and a weird goatee), but I'm afraid I've given away enough info to ID him as it is. Maybe if somebody's opening line is "ever pissed on anyone before" and you say "yes" you might be inviting that behavior.

And I love how they consider being sentenced to a psychiatric hospital for years, if not decades, of your life, all while having to live with the guilt of what you did, "getting away with it." And not to mention the whole implied premise that they WANT to drown children? Or something? post-partum depression/psychosis is a real thing, the whole story is a massive tragedy, and Andrea Yates didn't "get away" with anything.
