Centred on the sport of curling, the offbeat comedy tells the story of a reunited curling team from a small Canadian town as they work through their respective life issues and struggle to win the championship for the sake of their late coach.

Glorious Sochi media broadcast centre, of course. It's from an Australian comedy show, specifically the last five minutes or so of this episode: http://www.abc.net.au/iview/#/view/81661606 That link's probably geoblocked if you're outside of Australia, so you'll need to use the standard methods to be "from Australia". TBH it's not the best work Micallef's ever done, but it's still ok.

I managed to get access to the Japanese online coverage of the games on NHK's website and it's weird because there is no commentary at all. I'm watching the women's 2 person bobsledding and the first 3 teams to go are in first (USA), second (Canada), and third (USA)in the order they went. The times seems to be getting progressively worse with each run. Is this a result of the warm weather? Also, Russian Team 2 didn't pull their horizontal pushing bar in until into the first curve. I don't know if it would be funnier if they forgot or if it jammed.

I think the best teams in bobsledding are the ones that get to ride first, as the ice gets progressively worse as more teams ride on the track. So it's probably a combination of the skill level of the teams going after, and the quality of the ice.

I'm not sure how the initial order is determined, but they reverse the order from the second to third run, and then again from the third to fourth. So some of the runs have the fastest team first, then second fastest, etc. Since times are cumulative, the only time people move up or down in spots for the later runs is when they were really close to their neighboring competitors and put in a really good or really bad run.

It seems like the more a track (in anything - moguls, ski jump, snowboarding, skating, curling) is used, and the more the snow or ice changes from use combined with weather conditions, it seems like it would give an advantage to someone at some point and create an uneven situation for judging. Why isn't there a standardized situation (course, temperature, grooming between uses) for ice and snow sports? I'm guessing cost, logistics, and tradition. I also realize I'm probably thinking way too much about this.
