...Yeah, it says right on the infographic that the defaults handily beat every other one; they were just measuring custom names.

I always felt that the Rocky movies ruined the name Adrian. I don't know about everyone else but whenever I see that name I just hear Rocky's slurry "YO ADRIAAAAAAN, WE DID IIIIIIT!"

Yeah, they'd take and put modern SF guys jumping out of airplanes together into it somehow, and throw in a few F-22s and M-4 rifles.

I just took the route the devs seemed to want you to anyway - tell her to bugger off. It feels like she was forced in there by some executive decision, and everyone else just incorporated her in a pretty passive aggressive way.

PupsOfWar

Jessica Chobot has like 3rd or 4th billing in the credits -_-

Anyway, there are a few good sci-fi directors in Hollywood that I think could do good things with this franchise

Danny Boyle (though he swears he'll never direct sci-fi again) did a good job with Sunshine and had fun playing with some Mass Effect-y themes. At least until the third act. Always wondered whether that might have been forced by the studio.

Duncan Jones would be a great pick.

Drew Stanton did a solid job turning a completely irrelevent property (edgar rice borroughs books) into a bland-but-functional boys' adventure movie (John Carter). I wouldn't say he's a great choice, but he'd be better than most, and if nothing else understands sci-fi grandeur and atmosphere as something other than a function of raw polygons.

Blomkamp could pull the hell off of a First Contact War movie, though I wouldn't want to see his ME1 adaptation.

Problem is Hollywood isn't going to give any of those guys (if they were even interested) the project. Not with enough budget and latitude to make it work, anyway.

None of the stereotypical Big Stupid Movie dudes (your Bays, your Emmerichs, your Peter Bergs) are probably gonna end up with it either, but Hollywood will dredge up a knockoff version of those guys who'll toe the company line.

yeahhhh no. this was straight up a 'Nerds will LOVE this poo poo!', dollar-signs for eyeballs type of idiotic move. And given that Bioware isn't (and has not been for some time) some kind of small start-up company, the idea of 'everyone else' treating it differently than whoever decided she should be in the game is probably wishful thinking.

After Hale/Meer it's alphabetical by character's last name. "Allers" is second in only to "Alenko" by that ordering.

No, it was obviously part of the original intention. Sunshine makes me think Chris Evans could be a neat Shepard. Practically looks like him.

I'm not trying to convince myself one way or the other, it's just she's worth practically nothing and you're offered the chance to shoot her down at numerous points throughout the game. It's really easy to get rid of her and it just made me think if that would have been the case if it were Wong on board.
