As I've made these games I have learned that it really helps to sketch it out first. It gives me an idea of what objects I need to make and how many art sets each should have. Here are the two I've made so far: # 5 - "Buy! Sell!"  #6 - "Zandatsu"  Oh and yes, there will be a new episode tomorrow.

I guess life really does imitate art. Anyway, for another game idea, how about one based off of the Lady or the Tiger? Basic idea is, you have two doors, and you have to tap one. Behind one is a tiger that mauls you and makes you lose, behind the other is a lady and you win. Which door leads to the tiger would be, of course, randomized each time. It would be edutiantional!

I don't know if this would be too much to code in one game (file limits and all), but make it both: Open a door. If it's the tiger, you have to do something to stop the tiger. If it's the lady, you have to stop the eyebeams.

Just stick a randomizer in there, if the switch is on you make the tiger appear, if it's off you make the lady appear. All the code for stopping them could be attached to the individual object, so you probably wouldn't need to check the randomizer again after that point.

While it's true that tapping on the screen is the only available input method, I need to use it in more creative ways (ex: Bitcoin game). I'll try to think of something different for next episode. I was right when I said I wouldn't have time to make an episode for today. I was in Maryland at a friend's wedding during my usual recording days.

I just found this thread, but great idea! I thought about making an LP of the game a while ago as well, with different ideas to play around with. Did you ever consider streaming a session for live input? Shame NWFC went down, otherwise I could share some of my minigames, since I don't have a way to record mine.

If it interests anyone, back when I was planning formats for a potential LP of the ams, one idea was to invite pixel artists, have them come up with designs then make a mini game using their assets while discussing aspects of pixel art.
