 This local band came out like four years ago. Their gimmick was trying to make commercial rock music with a big marketing budget. I think they thought they'd go straight to MTV or whatever is cool these days. They failed. Turns out fancy videos and photos don't make lovely music less lovely-and being from bumfuck Kansas doesn't help either. "Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry is literally the worst song of its respective decade. I have never heard anything worse from '00 - '09. This song is also really bad but it's in a way that's hilarious and endearing. It's a musical trainwreck that if you listen to long enough you kind of get what they were going for. The stuff the recorded for their second album sounds MUCH better and more like a real band. Nickelback is a really great pop rock band. They are probably one of the best in recent memory and they are only a step or two below the Beatles who were also a really great pop band. It's too bad the Beatles crawled up their own asses though, they had a lot of talent but became insufferable and did dumbass poo poo like went to India and wrote bad experimental bullshit. Imagine Dragons are all very talented as well. They graduated from Berklee College. They are Berklee alumni just like Quincy Jones, Bruce Hornsby, Melissa Ethridge, and the guys in Dream Theatre. Both Nickelback and Imagine Dragons have done really well selling radio friendly, commercially accessible pop/rock to the masses. I'm happy for them.
