How much do you want it? ;-*
I did sit in the chair, because it was at TGS and they made me sit in it for every photo for some reason. Speaking of photos...

The staff kept saying it was extremely fortunate that I caught Arino, because he only stopped by twice that day (not sure about other days), and I arrived at the booth right on his second visit. He was enjoying TGS on his private time with his wife so I didn't want to impose, but he was nice enough to offer a photo and an autograph.

Chief AD Egawa, AP Ishida and AD Yanai. Asides from Kan, I talked to them the most because they were looking after the GCCX booth at TGS on a business day and had very little to do.

Tanii/Tanny, AD Takahashi, P Kan, AD Oosuka and D Katayama. Not pictured: AD Maeda, who's taking the photo. This is inside the Chuubu studio, where the narration is recorded. The crew watches the episode on the small TV behind us while Kan narrates in a separate room, making rewrite suggestions and little jabs along the way. Getting to see the Gascoin office and the challenge room was really cool, but this was even more awesome.

One many pics taken inside Gascoin. In the "Kacho Room".

At Super Potato, I tried to buy the game in the future challenge so I could get it before the price goes up, but they were all out. Curses.

It's kinda slow so I'll ask a few show soundtrack related questions:

- What is the music used for the beginning of the Famicombox segment in season 18? (something traditional and Japanese)
- Also still looking for the source for "despair theme", one example where you can hear it is in episode 75, Donkey Kong Country, starting around 28:25.

I'm 99% sure that the Famicom Box music is just stock music, it's pretty standard for travel/traditional culture shows and segments (Like in the catch copy segment).

Is the DKC2 3 parter worth watching if you have no real interest in Donkey Kong Country at all? Around 3 hours of it might be a bit too much without the nostalgia, I'm thinking.

I got bored and stopped watching at Part 2 so I don't really think so. Kind of a weak set of episodes IMO.

Might be, but since the show used more tracks from the Hiwou War Chronicles OST (where the arcade trip theme is from) as background music in at least one episode, I thought maybe this one has a source as well. I like soundtracks that have that kind of relaxing sound.

Yeah, I never really got into DKC myself but I liked it. If anything I was more impressed by some of the more striking levels due to my fresh eyes. Just grab the first episode and see if you like it enough to keep watching.

It's weird to see Arino show up on other shows as a guest panelist, but I guess that's just how Japanese TV works. I saw him in a rock-paper-scissors tournament the other week, and last night I saw him wincing to video of boat-stricken dead manatees.
