GOP establishment is still the "head" of the party because none of the tea partiers have the seniority to hold any important decision making positions. theyre also incredibly loving stupid and cant even putsch their way into influence, like when they tried to hold a vote to oust boehner and ran out of time because they decided to hold a prayer meeting first.

The heads of some of the most important agencies are headed by absolutely insane people, iirc the head of the Energy and Oil/whatever Committee does not believe in evolution or AGW and who's going to be the head of the Senate Intelligence Subcommittee thinks that no intelligence community information or decision should be publicly discussed, ever, no exception e: wait not the Energy but some committee relating to environmental regulations and oil company management

They're not going to get the votes for a super majority in the senate so they'll either be a lot of filibustering or the Republicans will do a rule change. That's not something they would like to do because they're probably going to lose control of the senate again in 2016. In short we have another two years of not a god drat thing getting done.
