It's probably more blue in real life and the lighting is to blame here.

I don't think so. I mean, do you get tunnel-vision when your round pupils contract?

Yeah, it just helps them to cope with the glare. Also to look cute and pretty.

Their field of view doesn't narrow, but their resolving power gets worse. When their pupils are narrow slits the height something has to be to be distinguishable as a distinct object is less than the width.

So they basically lose horizontal resolution?

(except in no way actually like that)

I see kangaroos every day. It's less than 100m to the (occasionally open depending on the surf) shop and there is a good chance I'll see a roo going there. More than 3 decades after this becoming a part of my life I'm still not tired of those goofy bastards. Have a pic of one chilling in my yard waiting for me to throw it (and it's joey) some parsley that I just picked.

Fear is the glue that holds society together. It's what makes people suppress their worst impulses. Fear is power.

And at the end of fear, oblivion.

I googled it as a japanese word and apparently it is an okinawan dialect slang word meaning something like "how'd you like that!" or combined with -gao it means to have a smug/cocky/triumphant look on your face.

Yes.
I asked around from a whole bunch of scientists, and they all confirmed that, scientifically, it is absolutely and completely impossible to look any more excited than this dog.
