tbh that was obviously the wrong call, but i feel like that mistake gets made pretty frequently where the ref/linesman is in the opposite corner of where a shot on goal comes from and they make a quick whistle because they can't see the puck. don't think i've ever seen a play like that though where it directly negated what would have 100% been a good goal

That was an incredibly quick whistle though, especially if you can't actually see the play.
