More info about the hinted-at new BK game that may compete with YL, pieced together mostly from sugar packets - despite the motion-controlled BK audience experience at SXSW that caused much gnashing of teeth and rending of garments, the Rare game that will be announced at E3 will most definitely not be motion controlled. Indeed, Microsoft, at long loving last, wants to move away from Rare being the Kinect Sports Company (TM), although it might be a little late for that, what with all the kids who have grown up knowing it as nothing but that. Of course, if the game announced at E3 is a Battletoads game, Banjo-Kazooie's next game could still turn out to be a Kinectstrosity, which would mean that Yooka-Laylee has already won.

I called it. There's no way they have any intention of making the new Banjo a kinect game. They've never made any kinect games with their existing IP, only made new ones for them, so these fears are pretty unfounded. It has a bustling competitive community and its roster size has doubled, the latest character being Cinder who was released a week or so ago. They pledged to support KI over the course of several seasons with new characters and content. Last week they announced that all digital sales would go towards a community fund for tournaments, with the goal being to reach $100,000, and they just announced yesterday that they already reached that goal. It has a $50K prize pool at Evo this year. It's not a "small" title in any way. Just because you aren't aware of the community doesn't mean it doesn't exist. MS has been hyping up the return of Banjo and Battletoads for nearly two years now, they wouldn't do that for small downloadable titles. I mean the amount of activity on that forum outside of the general discussions doesn't exactly strike me as bustling either. But okay, fine, there is a community at least, but that doesn't change the fact that Killer Instinct is a budget downloadable title. I can't see them putting out a new Battletoads game for more than $20 - and that doesn't mean it'll be a bad game, but in terms of scale it's never ever going to be a huge draw for that console.

I drew this picture to reflect my utter hatred of the show Teen Titans, and all those piece of poo poo american animes just like it that are now all over the drat place... but mainly Teen Titans. I'd like to be able to say that this took me only 10 minutes at the most to draw, but quite frankly, that would be a lie. If it were anything else, like my sketchbook or Flash MX I could've easily made this picture look infinitely better, but as I said this is my first real time using an oekaki. I drew this entirely with my left hand in PaintBBS and I probably should've used the other one, but as it stands I don't have a newfangled tablet doohickey like you kids are all playing with nowadays. And yes, that's Cyborg she's crushing to powder in her hand. As much as I want to write out a detailed biography of her in this comment box, I must restrain myself...
