People complained that Hardline looked like a BF4 mod and now are saying Battlefront is too different. Kind of funny. I don't mean here, just in general that and "Battlefront II had more stuff" are the major arguments being trotted out now.

Why the gently caress do they even make SP campaigns anymore? I was actually a big fan of the buddy system. It actually made you play as more of a team; granted there was a whole lot less to inspire the goon ADD to act up but still.

Yeah, I just don't understand why it failed. It had good maps, the guns felt great, the different classes were a lot of fun and the killstreaks weren't terrible. I've only really played the multiplayer beta, but at least in that the weapon balance was all kinds of hosed. There was at least one gun that could one-shot-kill dudes with a hit to the chest, and I think another that was semi-automatic and a one-shot-kill to the head. The maps were pretty linear as well, so mostly it was just an exercise of spawning, walking two steps, and then being instantly killed by some guy sitting in a spot overlooking every approach.

How do I install Final Stand? I have BF4 Premium Edition and it lists all the expansions in my library, but trying to play on a server with Final Stand maps tells me I need to install Final Stand. Clicking "Open in Origin" just opens Origin, and "Retry" doesn't work. edit: I had to manually set some registry keys since apparently Origin forgot to during install. I'm more interested in this optimum/effective/long/suppression deal. Are they adding a point where some of the weapon classes just don't do damage? Are they going to make it so the PDWs can beat LMGs and ARs at point blank range? (That last one might be because of my connection.)

Suppression for firearms starts being more than 1%/bullet at the range at which drop-off starts. It also doesn't start affecting the target until its up to 30%. Also PDWs didn't get a big enough buff for their range bracket except for the UMP45, which can 2-round burst people in the face for a kill out to something like 40m. Also all of the grips got a 33% debuff to Spread Decrease so that there's a point in having no grip attached, especially on high-RPM weapons which got nerfed by tying Spread Decrease(Which was originally a static number that made every weapon reset fast equally, resulted in 'micro-bursting' being a thing) to RPM. Because of this, and the near-removal of horizontal recoil for it, the U-100 is the most accurate firearm in the game now when it comes to firing fully automatic. The binoculars mostly don't seem to have the range, and every time I deploy SOFLAMs on Silk Road the armor and snipers go absolutely insane prioritizing them above all else. Of course, I guess with dedicated support ammo / crate drops, it doesn't matter when they destroy your equipment.

I would feel like a scrub when BF would reset my gunner secondary to the default and I wouldn't be able to laze poo poo. Then invariably the next time I get it sorted out, there are no engineers on the map and the driver doesn't use tows.

If I were going to be a dedicated laser recon on Silk Road I'd say I would bring the SOFLAM and SUAV. SOFLAM sitting wherever, using it manually as needed but using the SUAV for those times tanks hide behind rocks (or just happen to be behind something) or scout helicopters that are just out of range/flying to your side.
