I do like that handicap. It was fun watching the lesser stuff get the chance to shine, and it's nice that you can still usefully use abilities with a laser pistol. Also looking forward to The Zivchenko Ultimatum.

Gameplay note: Ghost Grenades are useful for sneaking through enemy overwatch fire, but you can also use them on people who are standing around out of cover like Annette. This can change the entire game if you lean heavily on ghost grenades (harder than it sounds, since they're expensive)

Exalt laser weapons look so cool. It's a shame that by the time you have a lovely pile of them to choose from, you already have laser weapons of your own starting to be phased out for plasma and alloys, so there isn't ever really any PRACTICAL advantage to using them. But in the meantime, WHOO Exalt heavy laser

To be honest, throughout that whole update I kept expecting EXALT to freak out over the fact that "Wait, they have PLASMA now? That's not fair, we only just got our lasers! AAAAAAAGH"
