This game really does make me think of the Nolan trilogy, only with things really ramped up to even sillier heights. Which means that Batman is a flat out one man army who just wreaks total destruction around Gotham and absolutely definitely does kill large swathes of people but neither he nor anyone else really acknowledges it. Its loving glorious. The storyline is far more compelling than in the previous games too, but the dialogue is flat out awful for just about everyone barring the thugs. Its disappointing really, because Rocksteady are so good at using the game to hit some brilliant visual storytelling when they need to.

It amazes me that a developer who could make such a great core game could not see that their Batmobile stuff is total poo poo and THEN has the insanity to create platformy racing bullshit that requires pinpoint precision with a goddamn bar of soap with a rocket strapped to the back. It's crazy.

I can't think of a single pinpoint-precision thing I've encountered so far. The only thing close are the ramp-jumps and those almost entirely just let you aim, hit afterburner, land exactly where you need. If you're trying to beat someone's high score in a racing challenge maybe but "I need to be dead-on to beat a leaderboard score" isn't really new.

Playing further. Why not just do Under the Red Hood? Why bother with the Arkham Knight bullshit? We all knew who it was, but they swore up and down this was something we'd never seen before. Was it because it would be predictable? The fun in Under the Red Hood's mystery is literally decades old. Still would've been a fun game even if we know who's under the mask. Pretending it wasn't Jason was a waste of time. So we really have to 100% all the Riddler stuff to get the real ending? I think I wanna do all that stuff and get the ending all in one go. Is that possible?

Like that is literally a level designed where the only time you have to lay off the afterburner is during the one turn right before the end after the drive across platformers. It doesn't require precision at all, it's almost guided.

You're saying it isn't hard but then you're saying you can't do it and that it's loving terrible because you can't do it. And yes, they slow you down. Are you trying to never break? Even in racing games you have to slow down to make tight turns.

My original point was that Rocksteady, makers of a fine quality game, somehow didn't realize that this is just lovely. No need for a response. No need for anyone to solve anything for me. There is no fix. The batmobile is just a big, puss filled blemish on a great game.

You're just saying "it's bad!" When I tried to tell you what to do you just went "it isn't hard, it's just bad" and then said you couldn't do it.  I have no problem with you disliking something but you're basically going "It's bad and awful and terrible because it is" which... I mean, it's fine if you feel that way but based off the leaderboards and my own experience plenty of other people can do that challenge without finding it cripplingly impossible.

It controls like rear end. It's set up dumbly. It bounces and slides and plays terribly. So for them to go and make it have platformy races just smacks of bad game design. Just my opinion. My original point was just me going "Holy poo poo, how could folks who get it so right get it so wrong?" You may disagree. That's fine. I think the general consensus is that the batmobile is pretty lackluster at best.
