It adds a bazillion bones that you really don't need for game characters. I tried to use it once in UE4 when Blender's auto weighting refused to work. The result was uh...Painful. If things go as planned my team would definitely be interested in some VO work, but your availability might make it tough. I don't have a script yet as the VO stuff is kind of a nice-to-have instead of a requirement of the game. So I guess let's see how this next week of dev goes and if it looks good we can circle back around on the 28th?

I thought it would be fun to randomly generate Sonic-style "zone" names, so I'm doing it! I'm a huge fan of randomizing text / dialogue nowadays... especially for any game that's meant to be replayable. It adds yet another thing for the player to look for, and there's nothing more tedious than reading the same text again and again.

Ideally, I'll have a big array of palettes like this: coloroptions = []; coloroptions.push([#ff00ff,#ff0000,#00ff00,#00ff00]); // neon coloroptions.push([#000000,#ffffff,#555555,#777777]); // greyscale etc. I wasn't planning on tying the stage names to the palettes, but I suppose I could... it would be a bit of extra work... I could make a simple set of if/thens to catch the most obvious ones - like, if it picks the word "fire," pick the "red" palette.

I feel confident putting it all out there, so let it be known that Team Dogpit is in the house, starring Ziggy Starfucker of Deadweed fame as coder, myself as writer and artist, and TheHistoryChannel as smack talk consultant. Our entry is a 2d fighter where all the pain ...is to your pride. Stay tuned for further development. Ziggy has created an awesome engine and is using Jojo and Street Fighter sprites as placeholders and it's kind of making me sad that there has never been a Marvel vs Jojo crossover.
