It's working out for me. Not even done with my master's and got job offers left and right. But then, I do the sorts of humanities that people are interested in, e.g., explosions; death; suffering.

But still the phd part is largely useless unless you want to be an academic. If you have the option to just do masters and become a practitioner you should do that instead. Or you should not do psychology at all, but at the phd stage it is too late for second thoughts.
