This is correct under the updated DEFCON we're testing out - DEFCON increases for shooting things down only happen when done by pilots in Vipers/Assault Raptors. But shooting a basestar down DOES keep DEFCON from dropping when you jump away. The only change between Cocks and my ongoing games is that I combine all pilots' Raider shooting, while he doesn't. But both games only have one pilot, so v  v

Just shoot them. Raiders on the other hand are better dealt with the pilot than say main batteries so you can potentially get that +1 defcon. And we have 1.5 pilots this game. I know it's easy to overlook Seelix since she's just the help. Seelix, be a doll and refresh my iced tea and fetch me my vicodin.
