Help how do I box all this everything I'm leaning toward the "plastic deckholder now, customize later" idea unless the cardboard tuckboxes are actually cheaper? What size should I use? AND WHY DOES THESSALA NOT FIT ANYTHING.

Cost me about $25 and I bought too many thanks to them being Add-On items. Amazooon.  Can't sleeve them though, I've been told you can use Perfect Fits? Sleeving probably isn't a problem unless you're really anal over the Remastered Cardbacks, which are said to be more orangey-red and the current backs which are a deeper red. Also if I do get DoI and Fate I'd have to carry them in two boxes. Just keep Thessala's board in the box I guess?

Not sure why the card backs would really matter all that much--you and your opponent always know what's available in each other's hands so it's not like different colored card backs are going to give anything away. Is it just the aesthetics?

Well, if you use Devastation Bases with a War:Remastered character, then the opponent would know which one of those bases is their unique base. So if you're playing with someone, and they see that you've set the orangey base of your unique base, and they suddenly decide to change their play, then you're playing with assholes and should probably leave? It really doesn't matter, if you really really care that much then just hide your set pairs before revealing. It's literally the most pedantic stuff in the world.

Board aside, Thessala's cards, standup, and tokens all fit into a 25-count. Enderbyt, on the other hand, manages to ruin basically all of my calculations when it comes to putting together a box suitably sized for all current non-promo characters. I guess I should leave room for Evil Hikaru/whatever the Fate secret character is, in case they ever get actual printed versions.

Just finished constructing Tuck boxes for War, which was an extra $25 and a few days. Still need to take a picture. Fate is gonna need some rejiggering, because the box isn't deep enough to fit the tuckboxes on their sides.

I made all of the custom tuckboxes on BGG for Devastation. It really does look fantastic, but it's probably a good thing that I'm impatient and the guy hasn't updated with the War/Fate/DLC sets yet. I just ordered a bunch of the clear plastic boxes. I was not looking forward to another month of scoring, folding, and taping tuckboxes together. I'd rather spend that time consulting or actually playing the drat game  . I'm not sure how many characters will fit into the 25-count boxes when sleeved with perfect fits and with the Extended Edition materials, so I just ordered a small amount of each size to get a feel for it. I imagine with 9-10 cards, it'll be hard to fit more than two cardboard stacks into a 25-count.

Woop time to sleeve all the things. And maybe whip up some Inflame proxies for Iskra, she could use those. Any idea if they'll be packaging the promos in their store if we pick stuff up in the future? Had some little things that looked interesting and wouldn't mind getting the last ones I'm missing (Nehtali, Takeshi, Elien, Raedrick). Watching the Evil Hikaru match, all of his Styles have names like an angsty teenager wrote them. (Wait, is Hikaru a teenager? That explains that, then. ) I think my favorite is Ultimate Chaos Devastator, because wow.

So! I understand some people have been jonesing for Evil Hikaru or the Runika promo but wasn't really ready to talk about mailing stuff out. I have two people who have expressed interest, but if you're interested, let me know either by PM or in this thread if you don't have PMs. If I have more than 5-6 bodies, we may have to talk about a means to fairly distribute them, whether that'd be random or by BattleCON struggle or whatnot. For the record, these are only going to goons. I'm not going to be asking for money, though I may be asking for a SASE for Runika's finishers. For the alt finisher art for Runika, I have enough that I don't think I'd run out. So ask away about that, too. also i got war yesterday, yay for four hours of putting things into bags

7 games in yesterday, woo. I'm really liking the new set of promo characters, they feel interesting to play and aren't crazy powerful (but are still pretty solidly balanced). Eliza is really dang fun. Iskra and Lucius being so stun-dependent is weird though. At least Iskra's cards are good. I've come to the conclusion that Force is pretty nice and not a big deal except that the Force Special Action is dumb. It warps the game a little, but in an interesting way that makes a couple matchups zanier (helps fast characters go slow by boosting stunguard on shot is the big thing, which is really cool) and lets people leverage predictions even better. We'll probably be sticking with it indefinitely, since the rest of the table's been fond of it too (the group is about 8 players, half of us experienced and the other half varying degrees of newbie). Also Kallistar vs Alexian is hilarious and involves lots of murderdeath.
