Christ I just realized we're gonna have a Jays-Royals ALCS with all that drama that entails. There will be benches cleared, there will be beanballs, there will be majestic bat flips, and pitchers gesticulating on the mound. Has this been the most entertaining, controversial Divisional Series since they've been introduced? It certainly feels like it. And the Cubs-Cardinals series was the least drama-filled, somehow.

Jose Bautista is awesome and that was one of the best bat flips I've ever seen. The ALDS and NLCS are gonna be a lot of fun. The World Series is gonna be fantastic no matter who wins.

I honestly don't think I'll feel anything like that Bautista homer coming at my face ever again. What a loving game. The coverage didn't show anywhere near the dissonance that was going on from the crowd.

To put it in perspective, during the second Cubs/Cards game, one of the Cards radio announcers' response to the Cubs earning runs on bunts & singles that never left the infield was literally "Joe must be desperate for runs, Cubs are playing a lot of smallball in this park today." If you Play the Game the Right WayTM, it means you're a bad baseball team who can't earn runs they deserve. I'd also like to point out that the announcer made that comment literally seconds before Soler came up and mashed a two run homer straight into the stands.
