the sad thing about those kinds of tests is that it highlights that some professors are incapable of applying any kind of scientific rigor to their own work I fortunately had a few good professors who would go over the data from every test, find questions that the class categorically did poor on, and in a moment of self-reflection, decide that they either failed to teach the subject adequately, or phrased the question poorly, and make it a bonus question for the handful of people who got it right, or throw it out completely.
