It's one thing if you have an encounter with someone and are on friendly terms to ask for a picture or something. It's another thing when you mob people waiting at airports and outside hotels. No one likes those people that do that crap. Some are just nice and chalk it up as part of the job. If you want to meet some wrestlers so bad, go to a autograph signing or an Axxess. You wouldn't like it if you were traveling and tired and sore and you had a bunch of grown rear end men bugging you while you were trying to not be late to the building or next plane.

I think this is almost exactly what Punk said in an interview when he was asked "why do fans keep on saying you're really grumpy when they ask for your autograph?"

It is bizarre to think anyone would camp out at a hotel or airport waiting for the slim chance to meet anyone famous. It never surprises me when the people who do end up looking like that guy.

Scott Hall sat down at the table next to us in the NOLA airport on our way home from WMXXX. He looked super exhausted. Then, a dad and his 5-year-old daughter mobbed Hall and chatted him up for like 15 minutes. Hall clearly did his best to be patient, despite the girl having no clue who he was and just wanting to get some french fries. It was really uncomfortable to watch.

When I worked in radio, we did on air promotion for an indie event. Skandar Ackbar called into my morning show and cut a promo on me in character. The next morning, Dr. Death Steve Williams (his opponent) called in, did an interview with me, and said he had my back. Then I got to meet both of them before the show.

Welp, that's my story about meeting wrestlers somewhere other than the airport.

I met Christopher Daniels at the San Diego Comic-Con about 5 years ago. He was a nice man.

I now partly feel guilty about saying I hoped TNA would re-sign him because TNA, but 2012 did give us Bad Influence, Claire Lynch, and a lot of really solid AJ vs Daniels matches with Kaz and Angle thrown in at times, so there was some good out of it. Also he had the greatest weapon of all time.

My friend's dad was the course pro at a golf course in town. He told us that he took Lex Luger out to play a round of golf which ended with him telling Lex to go gently caress himself when he wouldn't sign a couple of autographs for his son and I. Though, this was like 20 years ago, it's possible I'm confusing Lex with a hockey player who was an rear end.
