The story and characters in Unicorn were great, right up until the Unicorn literally handwaving a Federation armada away. The characters were all likeable, Banagher managed to be a whiny pacifist who was actually tolerable, and it had a nice thriller plot that was interesting and made sense. Just pretend the last 60 seconds of episode 7 didn't happen.

They have a pretty unique style and have a lot of 2D elements like text effects; the animation isn't super high-quality but IMO she does well with what she's got, the art is pretty and the stories are good. The others are Kono Danshi, Uchuujin to Tatakaemasu. (This Boy Can Fight Aliens) Kono Danshi, Ningyo Hiroimashita.(This Boy Caught a Merman) Kono Danshi, Sekika ni Nayandemasu.(This Boy Suffers From Crystallization) and there was a fourth one that's just a drama CD, don't recall what the title is.
