Teams definitely had it worse than philly through the late 90s into the pre-lockout period, it was mostly that the flyers epitomized the "always a bridesmaid..." status.

Philly has had some ridiculously good teams run into hot goalies or just get a string of bad luck at the worst time a lot more often than anyone though.
