On the one hand, of course Luna is a proper noun in general, because it refers to an individual mythological personage, not to one of a class of things. I don't even really understand why you're focusing on the 'proper noun' question when it's rather irrelevant to whether or not you'd actually use Luna to refer to earth's satellite.

On the other hand, you'd better start making the proper sacrifices if you don't want to be consigned to Tartarus.

it's easy differentiate because it's THE moon and everything else has a name or at least an alphanumerical designation

Luna is just Latin for moon and it's not any kind of official designation or title or anything.
