I like TCR but I don't know what they want to do here other than potentially kill touring car racing in the UK.

Yes, because what the BTCC really needs right now is a CART/IRL split.

I mean, it's not like they're loving up a Celica GT-Four or a good looking car, it's a loving Yaris.

True, and the wing mirrors actually being loving wings is kinda bonkers.

I'm looking forward to the gravel causing the cars to shed winglets each stage until the cars have basically no down force by the end of the rally because the teams have run out of parts.

Edit: Seriously though, the cars just look silly for next year in a good way.

Speaking of rally, I went to the CRC/NARC/CIRC's Big White Winter Rally with a fellow goon and froze our asses off. It was fun! Highlights include a BRZ going hella sideways hella quick, and a car getting stuck in the snowbank right infront of the spectators getting an army to push them out.

I shoulda went to the Rally America event they had here a few years ago. Highlights included rain at the bottom of the course and snow at the top (it was all over the Catskill mountains) and Ken Block running in a vintage Mk2 Escort

Is that a wing or a bicycle rack?

Wait, hang on, why does a rally car need rear view mirrors?

Rally cars need to be considered roadworthy in order to travel between the service area & the stages on public roads. In most places, that means that mirrors are required.

I remember how Tommi Mäkinen knocked off one of his Evo's rear wheels in an accident and was forced to retire when he got pulled over by police while trying to get to the service area on the remaining three wheels. The only reason he didn't lose that year's championship right there was that Carlos Sainz ended up having a mechanical problem on the final stage.

That new Toyota looks pretty ridiculous, but it's still a goddamn Yaris so :geno:

My favourite thing about Formula Truck and truck racing in general is that you get the thing where teams will just put 'Scuderia' in their name because Ferrari. So you end up with Scuderia Iveco.

Iveco are an Italian company though, so it'd be perfectly okay for them to use the Italian word for team in their name.

I somehow doubt there are tracks in Scandinavia more boring than most* of the tracks WTCC race on.
