![]() I worked one weekend during crunch time when my wife was out of town. I didn't want to leave Waffles at home alone all day, so I brought her into the office with me. I put up a baby gate in the doorway to my office and she napped in her bed that was sitting next to my bookshelf. It worked out really well until the cleaning lady started vacuuming in the hallway. Once the vacuum fired up, I suddenly had a panicked corgi hiding under my desk and looking up at me with terrified eyes...

Can't really tell until you actively look for it / grab it with your hands.

Oooo a blue merle ![]() If their ears are big it can be tough for them to come up on their own, especially when they are little and teething and low on calcium, which helps keep the ears up. Our breeder gave our cardi a lovely duck tape crown to get her ears up because they hadn't started to rise by 5 months or so. I got the impression that there was a 'critical period' for propping ears up which makes it difficult to do so when they are older but I'm not a dog doctor or anything so I don't know if that's actually true. hendersa posted:We spent some time outside in the backyard this weekend. ![]() ![]() What a difference a month makes. It seems like one day we're still waiting for spring to show up and the next it is warm enough to go for a walk in the woods and splash around in a few streams... That dog is always so patient when the kid is involved. ![]() On a side note, we've reached a new record of brushing out fifteen brush fulls of Corgi undercoat in one grooming session at our house. The last hoorah of her winter coat, maybe? When Corgis shed out their coats, they do not screw around.

Hello, I haven't visited this thread since Lucy passed away last year, but I've been taking care of my sister's corgster mutt for a few months now while she's out of the country so here's a few pics:![]() ![]() She's a corgi-shepherd I guess. She has a corgi body (including butt) and hair but very emotive ears and coloring I haven't seen on a corgi before--and she smiles like a corgi. She's also naughty and gobbles down dead birds before I can catch her, runs really drat fast, and falls on her back for belly rubs whenever you get close to her. Y'all got Furminators for shedding? They're amazing.

So I've got a question concerning food. How much typically are you serving your Corgs and how many times a day usually? We kinda messed it up with Count a bit in the beginning and gave him more than he should be eating which made him gain some pounds. Since then he has gone down and yes the vet did mention that he shouldn't be eating that much period. Before I was doing like a cup a day, split between two bowls a day. I'm still not even sure what's right tbh. I'm used to having larger dogs so I suppose that's why I didn't do this the right way. Anyways my concern is that now on smaller portions Counts just always hungry and he's eating grass and sometimes poop. Our other dog used to eat grass and stuff but he was never underfed or anything. He's a lab he was always hungry no matter what. I just want to be sure that's the case here and I'm not doing something wrong with Count. I'm going to bring it up to the vet but my I just wanted to hear something from other owners. I just want to do right by Count ultimately. In better news, his itching has significantly decreased since we introduced fish oil into his diet. Bonus photos of Count. He was chilling on the passenger side seat but sometimes he just figured being on he floor is best. ![]() ![]() Skeezy fucked around with this message at 14:40 on Jun 24, 2017 |
