He claimed he needed the communications equipment, ya know for all those split second life-or-death treasury emergencies that a phone can't handle.

I can't figure out what the chances are on that abortion of a bill that is Graham-Cassidy. It's very obviously worse than anything so far and would turn the healthcare markets chaotic. The three senators that halted BCRA were Collins, Murkowski, and McCain. Collins is talking like a solid no, Murkowski ain't saying poo poo but she's an unlikely yes, and McCain is being cagey and could go either way. On top of that, Rand Paul is making GBS threads all over it constantly and other than a sarcastic "leaning" comment, could very well be another no. On the other hand, McCain and Paul could very easily turn shithead and vote for it. On the other other hand, Graham-Cassidy kills so much funding from States that it's not a given that it completely sails through the House either, but probably would because of course it would.

KildarX posted:You think this might end up like "Lets kick it to the house, no way they'll pass this poo poo"? No, they know that anything they send to the House will pass. Given the relative slow movement around the bill and the fact that they've been out in the press braying about "Chaos in the markets!" and how "This is our last chance to repeal Obamacare!" I'm of the opinion that they don't have the votes yet.

Obamacare is a spider. If the GOP blows up America then they killed the spider and that's the part that will be celebrated by their case.
