And Hoskins was 2 years older. I know Riley is due some regression and it will come sooner or later but he's already almost at 1 WAR in 16 or 17 games so even at half this rate the rest of the way it'd be an outrageously productive rookie year.

The A's successfully benched/cut bait on about half of their near/at/below replacement level offseason acquisition garbage and can now beat bad teams, but they will need to do something about the other 3-4 if they want to beat good teams.
