It will come, eventually, hopefully, it was just built for the ground up for pc, so they have to rework how the ui and how you interact with the world. An eventual switch port with touch screen would be a decidedly definitive version.

Disco uses mouse for movement and UI right now so it'll take a bit of doing but nothing about the game is fundamentally PC only. Its a mix of point and click adventure and interactive fiction. They just need to build joystick movement relative to character (easy) and work on UI for console (harder)

It basically has the UI of an old school PC RPG, complete with click to move, but so did Diablo 3 and they brought that over eventually.

It's not often you can say this, but obsidian dodged a bullet with DE being a PC only small indie. That game would've ate OWs lunch with actual marketing and budget.

Nah, despite it being good it's still a game with zero combat and that's just never going to appeal to some people.

I think nearly every thread I'm reading right now has people showing up to disingenuously compare DE to stuff. Just kicking down the door to the thread like 'actually DE has far more humorous writing than Monster Hunter World : Iceborne', 'DE has much better character development than the blue L from Tetris 99". It is very weird.

It feels like it's becoming one of those games, which sucks because it's a cool game and people often enough get turned away from too much of that kinda stuff.

It's more that for the last few months many people have been waiting for a return to "good" crpgs with outer worlds coming to right the wrongs of the fallout franchise and then Disco Elysium came out of nowhere and surprised them. It's only been out like a week or so, expect the hype to get louder as more people notice it. It hasn't even been picked up by major twitch steamers yet.

There are certain streamers who do long plays, like Cohh, who is doing a 100% OW run right now for 15k viewers. This doesn't even touch the rp crowd who will voice act their play through.

DE is also the quirky kind of game variety streamers like Moon², Sacriel and seagull get a kick out of. But ow kind of sucked the air out of the room for now.
