Has Johnson always been this bad Analytically he has always been a mess but he has at least seemed less egregiously bad to me from an eye-test perspective this year. At least he was until our defensemen started getting hurt and he got put with Letang. On the third pairing he's still a drag on everyone but not to the degree he is on the top pair. I have no idea why they insist on playing him with Letang but it is a very awful decision and I hope Dumoulin comes back soon so they can put an end to that. Dallas is clearly the 2nd best team out there, Boston is just so much more talented throughout their lineup.. They had about 5 near misses where pucks just about went in that period. Even the Stars ultimate cheat code of having much better goaltending than everyone else is somewhat less impactful tonight, as Halak is drat good himself.
